Description: Along an historic highway towards Wine Country you'll step back into how the west once was. There's nothing else like it as you dine in one of the most unique restaurants in Arizona! You'll be impressed with the rustic and authentic cowboy eatery. Enjoy fine steaks & seafood in the lush tree tops & large creek-side setting while watching the wildlife below. Eagles call this home, while the beavers build and the otters frolic. Find herons, wood ducks, turtles and others scouting out where they too find some of the best food in these here parts. Fine dining in a historic, but casual atmosphere. Join us for one of the best culinary experiences around. Freshly prepared and made to order Angus, Dry-Aged & organic grass-fed meats, homemade soups and desserts. Want the best; then come out West and see what all the locals are talking about. Full bar & fine local and international wines.

With an entire wall of windows facing the creek, you're guaranteed a great view. They have a full bar, decent wine & a couple unique family recipes. They have a 4-sided, wood burning fireplace that leant to a cozy atmosphere. We ate here 2 separate evenings, as they were located 1 mile from the campground we parked our motor home in. The tomato pie (a family recipe) was fabulous. The food was good, but not unique or diverse enough for us to want to go back. The service was great one night & terrible the next. If we were to go back, it would be to support a start-up family owned business, not because the food was amazing.

Steve & Jen,

Thank you for coming in twice, but I"m sorry the service was not good the 2nd time. I will look into this and use it in a constructive way to limit this. It's slow season, so now we have limited staff, but none the less, service is extremely important to us and no one should have anything but these best in our restaurant...........Hope to see you again...........gk

While exploring the out skirts of Sedona ,with out of State relatives we discovered a excellent restaurant , just miiles away from wine country on Page Springs road. The food, and service was excellent and the cost's were well worth it. The atmosphere was rustic with window seating for a flowing creek near by, a wood burning fireplace , and live guitarist finished off a excellent dinning experience.

I'm not one to write reviews, but this place warrants it - exceptional food, service, atmosphere. We had a blast. The owners, servers, bartender, all made it a great experience, just by being themselves. The banter between them all kept us laughing through the meal. the food was top-notch. Worth the drive, as it's a bit out of the way. Don't let the exterior fool you - you walk into a cozy, warm, welcoming atmosphere and the variety of the menu is exceptional as well. A must see!

"if something isn't broken, don't fix it!" That common sense expression nicely sums up my thoughts, when it comes to our dining experience at "Up The Creek." Ever since we discovered this "jewel in the desert" several months ago, my wife and I have had the distinct joy of encountering one exquisite meal after another, returning time and time again. The creamed mushroom bruschetta as a mouth-watering appetizer, the scrumptious Caesar Salad if you're looking for something lighter (have it with the grilled shrimp is you're a pescetarian), and for a more hearty choice, the prime rib will satisfy any discriminating meat eater. There are literally, no choices on their diverse menu that will disappoint. The only thing that comes to mind that parallels the care that goes into the preparation of every plate that leaves the kitchen is this - the warmth and upbeat nature of those that will joyfully serve you, beginning with owners Greg and Dawn. Complementing that, is the simply stunning serene, pastoral, creek side setting. If you happen be there for dinner, there's a real good chance that you'll see us there as well. Bon Appetit! Alan E. Freedman, Author of The Walk (and lover of fine food).

We love eating there! The food is great and we love the Calichi (sp) is my favorite on Wed. and Thurs. nights. Someting special for every night from Wed - Sunday. The owners are so very friendly and the servers are great and take care of our every need. Love having a place like this in our own town. Great views of the river and a nice easy drive along a very nice road too.

Fran, we strive to have all customers enjoy their experience with us, but having the "Locals" continue to come back and get to know them, is a true blessing. Thank you for supporting our effort..........Greg
