“Oak Creek Vineyard”
Reviewed March 4, 2012

My husband and I stopped off here on our way to Sedona. The winery was very cute. We did like Page Springs down the road a little bit better, though. We tried the 5 wine tasting with the chocolate pairing. The person pouring was also nice enough to let us try one other wine we were interested in. She went out of her way to take our picture for us (set us up in a good location for a picture) and was generally very cheery and helpful in describing the wines.

“Friendly staff, nice atmosphere.”
Reviewed February 15, 2012

The woman working there took quite a bit of time to explain the different wines to us. She even gave us recommendations about other places to visit in the area. We got the impression that she was actually interested in us.
And, the wine was pretty good too.

“Nice local vinyard”
Reviewed August 1, 2011

Very reasonable tasting and apparently their own grapes (according to the ladies working there). Other vineyards in the area blend several grapes from outside AZ. Nice cheeses to accompany!

“MY HUSBAND GOT SICK, THE WORST WINE WE HAVE EVER HAD”
Reviewed October 21, 2010

When we arrived, we were greeted by a very nice woman who told us to pay up front or she would have to hold our credit card in hand behind the counter. Mind you there were only two people wine tasting, which should have been a red flag from the start. The first wine we tried was a Fume Blanc it was extremely cloudy in color and tasted terrible. So we proceeded to try the red wines, all the red wines were so bitter and poor tasting you would think you were drinking rubbing alcohol. Thus we paid our ten dollars and left as my husband immediately felt nauseous and sick to his stomach. Needless to say, we took the drive back to Jerome AZ and returned to Bitter Creek Winery for the second time in three days and purchased two bottles of wine that were absolutely exceptional in quality and taste.

“Average wine tasting, average service”
Reviewed February 2, 2010

We stopped here over the weekend for my birthday. You can choose any four wines on the menu to taste ($5 for just the tasting, $10 to keep the glass). The wine glasses are ridiculously small -- miniature glasses, as if you're playing house. Looks cheap and hardly enough wine to even taste. The woman behind the bar was friendly enough, but I did not enjoy any of the four wines I tried. We bought the port to be polite ($20/bottle).

I did like the decor of the tasting room, it was pretty and comfortable.
