“Interesting building”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2013

Beautiful building built by the Federal gov't that has virtually no visitors. Not much to see except photos of tribe from years past.

“Great Place”

I was born in Phoenix and have always appreciated the Indian Culture. This was an all around look at the Local Indian tribes. Very interesting and informative.

“Not worth a trip unless you are really interested in Indian stuff or pass by anyway”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2013

It's pretty far out in the middle of nowhere. It's very small. It's very authentic. It's interesting if you are into anything Native American or Arizona. But that's it. There are some similar places in Scottsdale and Phoenix which don't require a long trip into the desert. But if you happen to pass by on I-10 anyway, you should stop here for half an hour.

“Not your everday museum”

It's worth the stop but very confusing on how to actually get there. But, it was cool inside, a welcome escape from the heat.

“Warning”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 10, 2008

The Heritage center appears to be a very attractive building. Because friends in Maricopa had told us they rarely saw that it was open, I checked both the Center's website and phoned. The website says they're open 3 days a week, including Wed., 10-4; the phone message said they were open M-F 10-4. After driving for one hour, we found a "closed" note on the gate. 2 hours of vacation wasted for each of us. If you go, try to get a live person to confirm they're really open.
