“Horrible Avoid at ALL COST!”

Do not go here! They will rip you off and screw you over! The owners are liars. I went in with my girlfriend because she likes crispy and fried stuff and I knew they had roasted pork their because my parents go there all the time. Unknowingly the owner saw we were young so he wanted to make profit off of us. He over charged us and when confronted and he lies about lying earlier. Please do not go here.

“Steamed California red sea Bass”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

Whenever we passed by Phoenix, we treated our extended families in Scottsdale to Dim Sum lunch at Phoenix Palace in Chandler. This is our first time supper visit. We were not very hungry after our lunch at the same place. We asked after our lunch if they have any fresh fish in the tank. We were not disappointed. We had one of our best fresh steamed meaty fish with ginger and green onion. It was not over cooked, just right and juicy. The sweet pea shooting with garlic stir fry and a plate of lean pork tenderloin were equally delicious. Steamed white rice, Chinese tea and dessert were complimentary. The secret is the fresh fish was shipped in from California the very same day.

“Bland Food, Stuffy Atmosphere”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

When I walked into the Phoenix Palace late on a Sunday morning for Dim Sum and saw a gigantic swamp cooler next to the hostess station, I should have known that I was in for a sweaty experience, this after all, is Chandler Arizona in July.

We were seated quickly, and were immediately offered fried squid. Bad idea. The dish was overly breaded, oily and flavorless. We asked for hot chili oi to add some flavor, and were given a tiny saucer with perhaps a tea spoons worth for four people. The Dim Sum carts started appearing with an uninspired assortment of dim sum dished out by equally uninspired servers. The dim sum was bland and tepid.

This restaurant uses plastic chopsticks. To me, eating with plastic chopsticks is like eating with plastic silver wear, however, restaurants do no reuse plastic silver wear but they do reuse plastic chopsticks and it certainly showed on the chopsticks we had, they had a well used look and patina to them.

As I started to say at the beginning of this review, I should have taken the swamp cooler as a warning. The restaurant was hot, the servers were fanning themselves and it was just plain uncomfortable.

There are a lot of choices for Dim Sum in the Phoenix metro area and there is no reason to go out of your way for Dim Sum here.

“Hard to beat in Phoenix.”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

This Chinese restaurant served typical authentic Cantonese food from Dim Sum (at lunch) to all kinds of dishes. The BBQ meat counter is very good. We drove all the way from North Phoenix to Chandler to satisfy our oriental taste buds. We are not disappointed as world travellers.

“Food: Good. Service: Nope.”
Reviewed May 25, 2013

We used to go to this place occasionally because it's handy for shopping at LeeLee afterward. However, the last visit was not pleasant. One of the steamer-cart ladies came by, and we ordered three things (shiu mai, har gow, fung chow). We wanted to save room for stuff on other carts. At any decent Dim Sum establishment, the steamer would have come around again, probably within 15 minutes, and other carts would have visited in the interval. Not so this time: the lady pushing it got all cranky and steered clear of our table for the remainder of the meal. She apparently told her buddies to veer off, too, because we got ignored by pretty much everybody. Then the manager (owner?) kept coming by and asking if we wanted anything else. We kept telling him we were waiting for the carts. After a quarter of an hour of this standoff, we paid our tiny bill and departed, never to return.
