“Conference with 16 participants”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2014

We held a work event using the conference facilities here for 6 days. The rooms, conference rooms, restaurants, site facilities, nearby conveniences and proximity to the airport were all good. The conference complex is enormous, modern and I cannot say enough good things about the banquet staff and food quality. We especially appreciated how the conference facilities opened to a courtyard with a river. Our participants were very pleased with the facility and resort.
The one thing that was a concern was the internet service throughout the facility. While they system had good bandwidth, I have two concerns: 1) the system is divided between lobby, conference facility, rooms and spa. When moving from one zone to another, users need to sign in again, and 2) there are separate costs for each zone. The lobby is free, the rooms are $12+ per day per device, the conference facility is $75 per connection per day. This high quality facility could do much better, especially considering we all bring multiple devices and move throughout the facility. Guests paying for room internet should have access across the facility.

Room Tip: Nearer to the lobby, facing the pool. It is a long walk out to the perimeter rooms.

Dear John,

Please allow me a minute to address your concerns. Our network was created with our guests' many different needs in mind. Our conference guests often require personalized configurations, while the Aji Spa guests are often local residents not staying at the resort. Regarding your in room guest charges, let me apologize if you received misinformation. The $12.95 charge is for 3 devices. I'm glad that you were able to enjoy our resort and thank you for taking the time to give us your valuable feedback.

Sincerely,
Resort IT Manager

I was there for a large sales meeting. The room had a lovely view of the mountains and was spacious and clean. The location is beautiful, set within a reservation and thus carried the local Native American theme. There are jogging/hiking trails within the resort and the spa was pleasant and efficient. The conference facilities were sufficient but the food mostly drab. Breakfast was largely passable, but beyond that it was hit or miss. I can't imagine preparing food for hundreds at a time is an easy feat, so I reserve judgement largely based on that reality. Nevertheless, most in my party did not eat the dinner prepared for the main event.

Room Tip: Mountain-facing gives you afternoon sun and, of course, a lovely view. top floor is the best for vie...

Back here for New Years eve. Great suite with a beautiful view from the top floor. Staff was friendly. We stopped by the bar around midnight to ring in the new year. They had free champagne at midnight. We were going to have one drink an go to bed but the duet singing were so good that we stayed till 2 am. Great hiking trail. We cannot wait to go back.

I was recently at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass for a group event that occupied the majority of the hotel. There were several opportunities for my family and I to join in on the events going on at the hotel and the chartered buses to these events, one of them being the football game we were attending. GiGi, the concierge, was withholding that information and instead hiring her friend Tyrone to drive us around for an astronomical fee. She did not once tell us about the FREE chartered buses that were available for us to use being with our group. I'm pretty sure whatever Tyrone was making from his fee, GiGi was making a cut on the back end of things. Tyrone was horrible as well and made us late for the most important event, the game. The bellman caught wind of what was going on and finally told me that Tyrone wasn't even supposed to be hired by the concierge, but using a company called Transtyle, that is contracted with the Sheraton. This experience put a serious bad taste in my mouth about the service at the WHP. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

Room Tip: The rooms were clean, but very small.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your feedback. We are deeply sorry that you felt that your stay was less than satisfactory. Unfortunately, the shuttle service that was aforementioned was arranged privately by the group that was hosting their attendees at the resort. Because this was an exclusive service arranged privately for specific individuals, the information regarding access to this transportation service was not provided to the hotel but rather directly to the individuals for whom the service was arranged. We are truly sorry that you felt as if information was being withheld, as this was not the intent. In addition, please rest assured that none of our team members receive commissions or incentives from any of our third-party vendors. Thank you for your sincere feedback and we hope that you will visit us again so that we may provide you with the exceptional service and memorable experiences we strive to provide to all of our valued guests.

Stayed at the hotel New Year's Eve for one night with family. 2 rooms booked and overall enjoyed the rooms which were spacious with comfortable beds. My biggest complaint was our celebratory dinner at Ko'sins for the New Year. The service was slow, food was cold when arrived late. Not worth the price due to poor service as there are better options in the vicinity.

This hotel is the very best of the best of any family friendly resort. The people whom work there, are very freindly and fun, and sincerely welcome you! Our interaction with GG and Nate, as well as Linda and Billy, were the best. Isaiah, the bellman.. remembered my name every time I walked in or out of the hotel. This property is perfectly set for families who like to golf, or relax by the pool or even shop at the local outlet mall. Shuttle is readily provided for guests to get to the golf course and the outlet mall as well as the local casino. GG the consierge is the very best!.. She connected our son and I on a Grand Canyon Tour with a helicopter ride, as well provided us with restaurant ideas with menus. We also needed to get to the local hospital for an family emergency.. and we were given immediate directions, as well the offer of a ride. We could not have been treated any better... We truly felt like family. I am a platinum member and travel 50+ nights a year, and this is indeed one of the very best properties in North America. If there is anything negative about the hotel, it would be that the layout makes for rooms to seem to be far away from the main entrance, however the distance and the size of the rooms, enables the rooms to be very quiet. The halls are very well maintained and are kept clean! This property is truly the best of the best, and is worth every dime... including the resort fee!.... Don't miss out!

Room Tip: Ask to be close to be closer to an elevator, this will enable less walking in the hallways.

Great place to stay. Staff was very friendly. Grounds were gorgeous. Kids loved swimming in the pool and enjoyed the water slides. Only complaint was the layout. Signs were confusing at first on how to get to elevators, from one building to next, etc. Decor was beautiful and Southwestern. Beds were very comfortable. The spa workout area was very nice. Would definitely recommend.

Room Tip: Stay on a higher floor with a view of the golf course
