My partner was attending a conference at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort & Spa near Phoenix recently, and I had the good fortune to go along and enjoy the Arizona sunshine. This place is absolutely awesome, from the architecture that blends in perfectly with its surroundings, to its stunning desert landscaping and first-rate service. It's a short distance south of Phoenix Sky Harbor airport, surrounded by incredible desert.

We had a first-floor room with a patio perfect for relaxing in the morning and evening, listening to the desert birds. The incredible pool - complete with bar/cafe - was nearby, huge and well-stocked with towels and attendants ready to help with any request.

The resort included several dining options, including the 5-star Kai restaurant. We didn't have a chance to dine there, but reviews are outstanding. Everything we did have, from room service to the delicious "desert quiche" from the Starbucks in the lobby, was perfect.

The room was spacious, including the bathroom with a soaking tub and roomy glass shower. And, I actually spent my first ever "spa day" at the resort's Aji Spa. I have to say, I get it. The treatments are all based on Native American elements and amazingly relaxing!

The resort also includes an (apparently) outstanding golf course (I don't play) and an 2.5 mile interpretive desert trail that's not to be missed. There's also a casino nearby (we didn't make it to the casino) and a Premiere outlet mall very close by (which we did manage to hit).

My only complaint would be the daily charge for wi-fi. These days, this is almost a requirement for hotels.

Overall, the place was fantastic and I would highly recommend it for any visit to the Phoenix area.

Dear Guest,

Skek Thash (“Good Day” in Pima)! Thank you very much for your wonderful review of your recent stay with us at the Sheraton Wild Horse Resort and Spa! We are located on the Gila River Indian Community and we take great pride in infusing the history and culture of the Community into the Resort’s design, architecture, cuisine, and accommodations.

We are delighted to hear you were able to enjoy the Arizona sunshine (we are lucky to enjoy this 300 days out of the year) both on your patio and at our poolside bar and grill, Hanyo, which means “oasis.” Yes, we have amazing views of the Komatke Mountains to the west, where you can witness many a spectacular sunset! The desert is also home to herds of wild horses and desert foliage, such as shegoi (often referred to as “the Mother of all plants”) which is an ingredient used in some of the spa treatments you may have enjoyed during your Aji (“sanctuary”) experience.

Should you find yourself back here to visit us, make certain you visit KAI (“seed”) to learn more about the Community’s stories, legends, and to taste some of our locally-grown ingredients presented in a 5- Star fashion.

We also thank you for your understanding with respect to the daily charge for wi-fi; this is now a standard charge for our resort guests and we wish to keep you connected, whether you are here for business or leisure.

Again, we value and appreciate your feeback. We wish you well on your Journey and hope to see you again very soon.

Mova Sa’pe (Thank you)!

Needing to play in a charity golf tournament the following day, I stayed just one night here at the Sheraton. The staff was great and the room was large and comfortable.

By far - the best part of the visit was dinner at Ko'Sin. A simple chicken dinner was just outstanding! This, along with great service and a very nice wine list - made for a wonderful dinner. HIGHLY recommend it

Room Tip: The resort is very spread out. Try for a room close to the main building.

Whether you are there with your family or for a conference this property has it all. Staff is friendly, facilities are clean and updated and prices are reasonable for a resort like it is. The resort is spread out so if you aren't keen on alot of walking ask for a room close to the main lobby where everything is. If you don't mind the walk the golf course rooms have amazing views with private balconies.

We arrived in Chandler a day early and needed accommodation. We called the Sheraton and they had space for us, so we ventured in. They took care of us from the minute we drove around the circular driveway until we were settled in our room. The place was gorgeous. Lots of timbers and open spaces in the lobby. The view out the back was spectacular. They upgraded us to a mountain view as it was our first visit with them. The room was clean and well appointed. Especially the bathroom! A soaker tub and a shower stall?! Wow. Thank you very much for the good night's sleep.

Room Tip: Ask for the mountain view. You see mountains, desert, golf course and the pool area all in the same...

This resort and spa is fantastic. The pool is really big with great poolside service, has a waterslide and a great view of the desert and mountains. The food is fantastic, plenty of great golf, and the casino is just a short shuttle away. They even have an indian sing by the fire pit at the end of the day. It was a great resort to visit.

It is always great news to hear that someone enjoyed their stay. It is even better news to hear that you enjoyed many of the services that we provide. We have not actually stayed overnight at this Sheraton as it is very close to our home. However, we have dined at Ko'Sin and the Lobby Bar several times, and have enjoyed several Spa Treatments. The staff is quiet, courteous, and gracious. The food is well prepared, presented, and delicious. The watermelon crab salad - though very unusual - was refreshing and intriguing. The fondue, burger, steak salad - actually - every dish - has never disappointed. The Spa is quiet and relaxing - and each technician is professional and engaging. We are so glad to have this quality and luxury so near our home!

My family of 4, 2 kids age 10, visited for 5 nights during spring training. We enjoyed the hotel and most of the amenities. The kids really enjoyed the pool and slide. I had trouble with the beds being small. There were 2 double beds and I would have been much more comfortable with queen size beds. We really enjoyed breakfast and lunch at the golf club house. Very good food, atmosphere, service and value.

Dear Guest,

We love to welcome Spring Training visitors every year. Thank you for your visit in March. It is great to hear that your children enjoyed our pools and recreational activities. It sounds like you enjoyed our dining options, golf and additional amenities.
I am sorry to hear that you would have preferred a larger bed. Perhaps a good solution could be to reserve a king with a connecting double, in the future.
We hope we get to see you next spring.

Sincerely,
The Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort & Spa Management Team
