Fairfield Inn & Suites Phoenix Chandler/Fashion Center

Stayed here for a business trip. Hotel is about 20 miles from the PHX airport and they do not have a shuttle. I rented a car anyway, and only drawback was construction going on at the time I was there and on ramps closed at inconvenient times. Hotel is about a mile from the Fashion Center Mall which is very nice and big, with high end stores (including Nordstrom) and many places to eat (Incl Cheesecake Factory, CPK, Spaghetti Factory and a good sized food court.-other restaurants like Benihana and Elephant Bar are around the perimeter road), and a movie theater. Mall is REALLY busy on weekend nights and parking there is difficult. Target is located nearby.

Hotel says NEW, because there is no evidence of wear and tear.

Hotel is (literally) attached to a Courtyard and Ebay and PayPal are across the parking lot, which explains a lot of computer types in the hotel. A lot of free parking. Each has a separate lobby. Fairfield is very modern, lots of brighter colors and 60's minimalist type lobby furniture. There is a breakfast provided iin the lobby area (i.e. make your own waffles, sausage patties, scrambled eggs in a circle shape (to make egg muffins?), oatmeal, juice, cereal, yogurt, muffins, etc. Great to have but can be redundant after a couple of days. But hey, unless you go to the mall, it's the only food place around. USA Today in the lobby M-F.

Very courteous and welcoming staff. Everything was super clean. Rooms were spacious (I had a two queen room for just me). Flat screen TV but no fridge or microwave. Very contemporary decor and colors. room has an actual closet with folding doors. Bathroom is large and toilet, vanity and bath area are not separated which is not typical for most hotels these days. No tub and very large shower with glass doors. Towels are good. Thermostat on the wall and easy to adjust. Beds were great. Did not experience any noise from the hall but could hear some conversation from the pool area (I was on 2nd floor).

Free wireless and wired internet, but in my room the jack was pushed into the wall so I couldn't plug in. Which is OK b/c of the wireless.

Large pool and hot tub (didn't use them) and fitness room.

Connection to Courtyard also gives you access to the (extensive) food counter located n that lobby.

Great place to stay.

I spent several nights at the Fairfield Inn portion of this hotel in mid-December (2010) and found the property to be clean, comfortable, modern and convenient. The hotel is only a year or two old and is still in great condition. It is a standard Fairfield Inn style hotel with modern touches such as flat panel TVs.

This is a new concept, or perhaps a trial, for Marriott, combining a Courtyard and Fairfield in one physical building (think L or T shaped) and with some shared facilities such as the pool and workout room.

I used the Fairfied side because it was $10-15 per night less than the Courtyard and offers the free breakfast.

The upside to this is the additional features that you have from sharing properties. The downside, at least for Fairfield guests, seems to be that they occasionally close the front desk at the Fairfield side and to get any service, you have to go over to the Courtyard lobby to see anyone. The other downside is that the Fairfield standard beds are less comfy than Courtyard and higher brands in the Marriott food chain.

Breakfast is standard Fairfield.

The faculty offers free parking and easy access to both the 101 and 202 highways with a drive just a bit longer to get to I-10.

When back in this area, I'll stay here without reservation.

This Fairfield Inn is attached to a Marriott Courtyard and shares the fitness and pool areas. Great use of facilities for Marriott. The hotel is easy to find and was the best of everything for this level of hotel. We paid $85/nite and were upgraded to a suite since we are a gold member. They had us upgraded when we checked in so we didn't have to ask. Breakfast bar was typical but good. You can also use the bistro at the Courtyard for more of a restaurant choice. I will definitely stay there if in the area again.

It is a very nice modern hotel with a wide variety of conveniences. The staff at this hotel were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and neat and well kept up. It has a snack bar in the lobby and to many other neat things to list them all. The televisions are flat screens and every thing is new and very well decorated. I really enjoyed my stay there and would highly recommend them to anyone in the future to stay there. If you have a need to stay in Chandler Arizona, then I would definitely recommend the Fairfield Inn & Suites Phoenix Chandler/Fashion Center!!! It is close to shopping and eating, but yet it is in a quiet location and I loved that.

We recently stayed at the Chandler Fashion Center Fairfield Inn and had a great experience. The service was excellent and the room was clean and comfortable. The pool was refreshing and not very busy at all. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Fairfield is that one Marriott brand that we are always wary of. We have stayed at some definate Fairfields that we did not think were up to Marriott Par. The Fairfield Inn Phoenix Chandler is one Fairfield that is clearly up to par. This is one of those Marriott Campus properties, where multiple Marriott chains are on the same site. In this case the Fairfield is teamed up with a Courtyard by Marriott. This Fairfield is very clean, very new and the staff excceeded expectations. The continental breakfast was actually a little better than normal. Parking at this hotel is very close and the parking lot was well lit. The room was larger than normal and the amenities and internet worked well. My only problem with this hotel is the location, although the property is very close to the highway and quick to get to, it is in the middle of nowhere. Restaurants, gas and shops are all more than a mile away. Most are at least an one or two exits and on the other side of the highway. I arrived at night and fortunatley many of these shops, restaurants and gas stations are open late. I guess what hit me and why I use the term nowhere, it is because in the morning when I open the curtains to let in the light of the rising sun, out my window was just desert, as far as the eye could see, beautiful desert. So maybe on a hectic biz trip it was nice to be in the middle of nowhere.
