At the end of a move across the country for work I booked Homewood Suites for my boyfriend, myself, my son and our two cats while waiting to get into our home and waiting on the movers. I initially planned on just booking it for a couple of nights but the gentleman at the front desk explained to me that they were exceptionally busy in December and suggested I book for a week instead just in case. As it turns out the movers were several days overdue and we ended up staying the whole week so I was extremely grateful for his suggestion! The property is lovely, new and clean with perfect access to freeways. The suite was smaller than I expected but still quite comfortable with a full size refrigerator and well equipped kitchen and very comfortable bed.. The gym is fantastic with modern equipment and the pool area is large, lovely and clean as well. One of the best features of the hotel is that they serve dinner Monday thru Thursday with a set but varying menu in a lovely "restaurant type" setting. Surprisingly, they serve complimentary wine and beer with dinner, and the dinner, wine and beer were actually good! My ONLY complaints are the following: 1- they quit serving dinner at 7pm. We found it kind of hard to make it to dinner by then with our busy schedule and were only able to take advantage of it once. 2 - the A/C Heat is way too efficient for the size of the room. With the heat on it got hot really fast and with the A/C on it was like an arctic breeze in the whole room. It was way too cold and close to the bed to keep it on at night so we found it difficult to maintain a comfortable temperature in the room 3- the IPOD station/radio/alarm didn't work correctly (I probably could have requested a new one but I used my own).......................All in all, it's a fantastic place to stay for an extended period of time. The staff is friendly, professional and the property is top notch and I highly recommend it.
MY TIPS: It is not within walking distance of anything, you definitely need a car, but if you have one it's a short drive to lots of restaurants and shopping. If you plan to partake of the free dinners/beer and wine, plan to eat early in the evening. If you plan to have someone sleep on the pull out couch, keep in mind it is really close to the a/c and super-freezing if you turn it on, and it's not very comfortable to sleep on.
