This restaurant considers itself Hawaiian fusion and although relaxing inside, I did not feel the Hawaiian side. We had sticker shock when we looked at the prices. Count on an entree (a la carte) at an average $47. I had the four fish plate and it was good although the butter fish was DELICIOUS. I had the mai tai but didn't like the molasses style rum float on top. Hubby had the steak and he liked it along with the lobster mac and cheese but it was $47. We won't be back.

We decided to have a "nice" lunch on a weekday "just because" and settled on Roy's because it was open on a Monday, nearby, and had always intrigued us. What a treat! It's an upscale, sophisticated, quiet, padded white-tablecloth, classic French service type place. The waiter knew the menu, was charming, efficient, and clearly had experience in business-oriented upscale restaurants; he knew when to be available and not to overstay his welcome tableside. We started with the house Mai Tais, pricey at $12, but unique and delicious, with a pour of blackstrap rum on the top. We each had one of the inexpensive lunch plates, which included soup, a rather bland salad, beautifully done fried rice with a protein, and a cookie. We also splurged on a decent bottle of Oregon Chardonnay. (So follow the tab: we've now added $64 in alcohol to our lunch check! We had a $100 gift certificate and went crazy!) The food and beverage tab came to $117 before tax. If I were still active in business meetings, I would be taking clients here constantly for lunch. It's quiet enough to have a real conversation, service is top-notch, food is delicious and beautifully presented and the prices (at lunch) are quite reasonable. (There are some pricey entrees on the dinner menu but I have the feeling they would be awesome!) Nice show, Roy's. I hope your corporate HQ wakes up and does some area promotions and specials because your place should be packed every hour it is open! We'll be back.

Excellent seafood with their special touch of flavor. Prices are the high side of moderate, but well worth it.

Reservation was lost. But somehow with all of 4 other tables in use, they found a place for us.
Waiter was helpful and attentive taking the order and even delivering the appetizers. Then, he must have forgotten we were there.
1 Excellent and 1 Very Good appetizer.
1 Very Good +, and 1 Very Good entree.
2 fair to poor deserts.
