Loved this place. The staff dress and act the part. The Mayor is brilliant in his part. Did not eat here so no idea what the food is like. Loved how the restaurant looked!

“summer fun”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

We went in the summer time-which in AZ can be quite hot. If you can stand the heat you will have the benefit of less crowds. Plan on paying for some ice cream and bottle waters to help cool you down-but as the sun sets it becomes quite pleasant and we really enjoyed the shows. The wrist bands are the best deal for the kids-our younger kids loved the playground, petting zoo, panning for gold. Teenager enjoyed the climbing wall (not really old west-but a way to make more money off of you and keep teenage busy) gun show and mechanical bull. Had a group of 11 people with us ranging in age 2-40 the gun show kept everyone's attention and everyone loved their meal at the restaurant.

“Very fun group or family attraction”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

Rawhide is a remade old western town that is geared towards families and larger groups. The people that work there are great! Very interactive, love to "call someone out" and draw attention to their antics. For a few bucks you can pay the jail and have the smart alec of the group, or your spouse, arrested and thrown in jail. The only way to get out is by doing something embarrassing (and at the same time hilarious). Like riding a toy horsey through town yelling "yee-hah" or singing "I'm a little tea pot". They have gun fights in the street and very good action/stuny show in one of their outdoor theaters. All in all, a must see if you're in the area with your family or a larger group.

“Old West”
Reviewed January 26, 2013

If you want to catch a touristy version of Old West flabor, Rawhide is worth the visit, especially if you have kids. You'll feel like you're walking down Main street of an Old West town. There are the usual gunfight show, a petting zoo, mini-train riade, etc.
