We found this place almost by accident. As a Minnesotan, it was nice to see the Viking's purple and gold everywhere on the sports bar side of the building. Since we were there for dinner though, we sat in the actual restaurant part of the building. Unlike the bar side, the restaurant has actual furniture and not plastic patio stuff. The atmosphere is definitely casual, right down to the checkered tablecloths and amusing signage everywhere – which to me is a good thing since at its heart, this a BBQ joint, and those are always better when they don't try to get too fancy. The food was in a word, excellent. The battered and deep fried mushrooms were obviously made by hand and were so much better than any others I've tried, and I always get these if they are on the menu. The menu had some very good looking steaks but since I never get to come to this area, I decided to try the "Six Shooter Sliders". This is a ridiculously huge platter (think 16" pizza pan) "loaded" with six sliders – each featuring a different house specialty meat. The middle is piled high with fries. This is basically enough food to feed a family of four for three days, but it was great to get to try a lot of different things and really all of it was wonderful – my favorites were the brisket, the corned beef and the BBQ pork. Everything was reasonably priced as well – it was a lot of food for the money. I can also recommend the Bloody Marys – very tasty. The server was very attentive and friendly. I will be back if I make it to this area again.
