This motel was clean, comfortable and offered a great value. Located near I-10 and several nearby restaurants, it was a great place to spend one night on the road. A/C worked great, seeing that it was 113 degrees outside!
- Free Wifi
- Free Parking
I requested a handicapped room and was awe struck with the size and comfort of my room. My large mobility scooter didn't even crowd the room. The king size bed was quite comfortable and tucked away in its own area. The bathroom was also very spacious. I would advise any handicapped person to stay here. However, the toilet paper hung UNDER instead of OVER. I fixed that and now it is perfect.
This is an ok motel that is showing signs of wear and probably could use a good remodel.
The front desk staff was friendly and efficient. The room was clean, and included a fridge. The A/C unit was kind of ratty. The bed was pretty good, I got a great night's sleep in it. The area was very quiet. The bathroom was clean and had a great, powerful shower with lots of hot water, and the towels in my non-smoking room did NOT smell like smoke -- a plus.
My room was at the back end of the motel on the top floor, and the wireless Internet was non-functional. Furthermore, there was a decided lack of outlets for plugging in the laptop, cell phone, etc.
The location is great, about a quarter mile from the I-10 freeway. Casa Grande is a nice little town about 45 minutes south of Phoenix. It's not part of the Phoenix metro area, as it is separated by a reservation, but it is growing by leaps and bounds. There is an IHOP and a Golden Corral in walking distance, and a bunch of other restaurants at a short drive.
All-in-all an average property at an average price. I will, however, recommend that you pick this Super 8 motel over the ones on Sunland Gin Road (Days, Motel 6, and one other that I forget). Those are uniformly ratty, noisy (due to adjacent to truck stops) and in a generally unsavory area.
My family stayed here and the hotel was very dirty. The carpets we so dirty we had to throw our sons socks away. We complained and got a new room and that one was no better. I wouldn't recommend this hotel, pay more for a nice place.
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Casa Grande Super 8 Oct 21st through Oct 24th 2006. The room was clean and big. The staff cleaned the room every day. They had a light breakfast with cereal, bagels, muffins, fresh fruit, juice, and coffee.
The front desk personnel were very nice and helpful. I would stay there again on my next visit to Casa Grande.
