Shame on us for not doing the math! We booked the "Stay & Play" package at the Francisco Grande ($840 for 2 of us -3 nights, 3 rounds of 18 holes with cart, 3 breakfasts for 2) and learned AFTER we paid that the package actually cost $117 MORE than if we had just booked the room ($139/night) and paid for golf ($82 18 holes with cart for 2 people) and breakfast ($20/day)...grand total $723.

Mentioned this at the front desk, and received a shoulder shrug.

We go through Casa Grande at least twice a year on our way to El Paso. For years we have stayed at the Holiday Inn but it has gone way down in service and cleanliness.
I booked a room at this hotel.
What a nice surprise. The rooms have definitely been here a few decades but are spacious and spotless. Bed was comfy, coffee was plentiful and the sitting area was very big. Large bathroom, small area for toilet but is was just fine.

The bar was great drinks were large and reasonably priced. The staff was very friendly.
We had dinner in the dining room , our entrees (ribeye & prime rib) were delicious and the presentation very high end. I bet back many decades ago this hotel was a very high end resort. It is certainly the best Casa Grande has to offer. Looking forward to our next visit, we’ll bring our clubs and stay an extra day

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your raving review! We take pride in being one of the top hotel choices in Casa Grande. We are glad that you were able to enjoy outstanding dishes at Legends Restaurant! Thank you for taking a moment to appreciate the unique character and history of the Francisco Grande. It certainly was the place to be back in the day!

We look forward to your next visit and definitely invite you to enjoy a day out on our course!

Thank you,
Tracy D

My husband and I met family members from Phoenix, during our recent visit to Tucson. The Francisco Grand Hotel appeared to be halfway and served Sunday lunch--so we thought it was a reasonable choice for our gathering. Their food was mediocre club food at best. Sadly, our visit with family members was a treat, but the food was a disappointment.

Nice course, especially considering it's in the middle of the desert. The greens were mostly in good shape and the fairways were in great shape and well maintained. There are five tee boxes, which is good, as it's a pretty long course. Staff was very friendly.

We made a reservation at this hotel on the advice of a friend and up until we went to our room to sleep, it was a great experience! The staff in the Duke were attentive, fun and the food was great. However, when we went to our room in the Deluxe Tower that all changed! At around 9:30, I had to call down to the front desk as a group of boys(we assumed they were with the Barca Soccer Academy) were running back and forth, slamming doors and talking loudly on the outside patio and in the room next to us. They did quiet down and we went to sleep. However, at midnight we awoke to more loud noise, running and shouting. I again called the front desk and asked if there was any adult supervision for these boys. The clerk said she would call security and also try to contact a coach. Nothing happened for over a half an hour so we packed up and decided to drive the hour and a half home rather than try to get back to sleep. There are dorms for this academy on site, so why were these boys on the 7th and 8th floor with no adult supervision at midnight? Be advised, if you make a reservation, find out if there are unsupervised students staying in the immediate area. We had planned to bring a golf group here in the near future for an outing, but that won't be happening now! My ranking on their service is based on the response time of security and not the staff in the Duke or Front Desk.

Room Tip: 708 was a great room minus the obnoxious students-oversized outside patio is a nice feature.
