“Check It Out!!”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

Our first time thru we drove right by. The next morning we stopped -- and I'm glad we did! It was a donation to enter and park the car. We didn't realize there was so much to see until we got out of the car and walked around. Amazing views -- take it all in! You also need to take the time to walk thru the vendor area and check out all handmade pottery, jewelry, etc. I couldn't believe the deals I got! Don't pass by your first time through, you need to put it on your agenda.

“Great Shopping and Spectacular Views!”
Reviewed August 17, 2012

If leaving the east entrance to the Grand Canyon National Park this would be your last real only choice for souvenirs.  Mainly a large selection of handmade Navajo crafts here but there are a handful of Grand Canyon items as well.  In addition, the Little Colorado River Gorge Overlook gives you another awesome viewpoint of the magnificent Grand Canyon.  For a small donation to the Navajo Tribe you get more spectacular views and photos, what more could you ask for.  It's all well worth the stop!

“Little River Big Canyon!”
Reviewed August 4, 2012

On the way to the East entrance of the Grand Canyon National Park, you come upon the Little Colorado River Navajo Tribal Park. Do yourself the favor and stop and visit. The canyon is big and deep, and there are many photp ops available. Pass thru the many vendors just trying to make a living, and see one of many wonders on the Navajo Nation. This is just a prelude to what you will see when you enter the Grand Canyon.

“Worth a stop”
Reviewed June 28, 2012

5000' to the Little Colorado River Gorge Overlook. The Park pass does not count here, but it just needs a donation to the indians. There are picnic tables, arts and craft tables and toilets.

Fascinating view as the river has dried up and you can't see the bottom of the gorge. There are several photo points and one is particularly difficult if you are less mobile.

“Mainly an excuse to shop”
Reviewed June 6, 2012

On the east road in to the Grand Canyon the first viewpoint takes you here. Entrance is by donation. Run the gauntlet of stalls selling the same things you find everywhere else to get to the viewpoint. The Little Colorado River canyon is notable for how little it looks like the Grand Canyon. It's uniformly brown and dry (at least in May) and not worth whatever you donated. I'm sorry to say this, because I like to support the Navaho in their tourist ventures. Give this one a miss.
