“Awesome”

I Dont know how to pitch this other than you get to ride a train into the Center of a Mountain!!!! well, not the center but reasonably far into it. The geology underground is incredible. And so much of the minerals are still in the mine, even after heavy mining. Its a great experience to see how they dug everything out. Bring a camera, with an amazing flash. There is no light down there, everyone relies on a cool shoulder flashlight, which is great for what your looking at but cameras need a lot of light. I don't want to give anything away about the tour so just go see it. It will be worth your time.

“Novel Experience”
Reviewed February 15, 2014

We traveled on a tram into the mine fully geared up in mining gear. We stopped at various areas with a full explanation of what was done there. The guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Not a place for very young children who may become frightened by the noise of the tram, the confined space and the darkness of the mine.

“Not to be missed”
Reviewed February 14, 2014

This informative tour is a must see if you are in Bisbee. The tour guide was excellent, very well informed and has had lots of experience working in a mine. Easy to ride the train and only one set of stairs to negotiate (36 steps). OK to stay with the train if you prefer not to do the steps.

“Interesting tour of local mine”
Reviewed February 12, 2014

We enjoyed our tour and tour guide. He was a mine worker for many years. Liked the tour because it isn't too long... Only an hour or so. Lots of interesting info in a reasonable amount of time!

“Good Underground Tour, Mining memoranbilia”
Reviewed February 12, 2014

Have not been in undergroundportion for several years, but appears unchanged. Given slickers and headlamps, conducted by eex miners. Open pit portion has overlook at roadside. Mining museum (free) has nice historical record and dioramas of the Copper Queen in it's heyday. Woth the price of admission.
