If you like taverns this is the place to go. It's a bar next to a tattoo shop, but you don't have to be inked or ride a Harley. Bottled beer and lots of locals.

This review is long coming. I visited St.Elmo pub with my travbuddy friends back in 2009 and recently returned with my husband. Located right up the road from Brewery Gulch, it is a perfect place to hang out with friends in the evening and have some drinks.

It is an old building and has been operating since 1902. The inside is rustic and typical of a pub/ bar with high stool chairs. We had a few beers in the day and chatted a little before leaving. If you love beer, it is a great stop.

The history behind it is intriguing and informative. The rustic souvenir and bumper sticker decorations are fun to see. The band was not playing when I visited, but there is live music.

We had a blast at St. Elmo's Bar. Established in 1902, and "decorated" with souvenirs, ancient taxidermy, and bumperstickers, it's got tons of character, and local characters hang out there! Drinks are cheap and generously poured, and they have great live music on Friday and Saturday nights. We enjoyed our Friday evening there so much, we went back Saturday night. Food can be obtained from the restaurant next door, which is open late, and has a doorway to the bar. A very eclectic crowd - bikers, locals, young and old - I feel like we met everyone in town. Loved it!

Definately a local bar and fun. Not what most tourists would look for but, I would recommend stopping in for at least one drink. Looks a bit seedy but dinks were good, priced right and service was good.
