Besides roaming through the above ground museum, we took the undergron=und tour. You have to "gear-up" by putting on hardhat, yellow slicker and head lamp! Then you mount (stradle) the train to take you down. the tour guide was a fellow who had actually worked in the min...what a wealth of knowledge. A great experience, although maybe NOT for someone who has claustrophobia as there are some "close" places.

Very informative, succinct, and accurate depiction of mining. The docents were very affable and kind.

“Small but thorough”

A small museum in a wonderful old building. Enjoyed the museum, but had the best time shooting the breeze with the woman running the gift shop. Love Bisbee, it's so darn friendly.

“Informative and Fun”

There is so much rich history in Bisbee, it's hard to believe they can contain it in one building. It is well laid out and easy to follow.

What a surprising little town. The history of this copper mine was interesting. The staff is friendly and made the tour fun. Worth the money
