You did NOT like Bisbee, did you!!! Bisbee is a great place to visit for people who love history, great restaurants (you didn't), gift shops, art and antique shops, and just a turn of the century atmosphere. the fact that you criticized our Bisbee restaurants and failed to wait for a few moments for a FRESHILY prepared breakfast with us just does not merit a reply

This is a wonderful, and charming old hotel. The view from the balcony is awesome. The breakfast is great. It is a very good location for sight seeing in historic Bisbee. It added to my old west road road trip. The only negative I had was the stairs are a little steep for children or us older people.

Yes!! The Bisbee Grand Hotel offers a GREAT western experience. We are sorry that the stairs had too many steps for you. We hope that upon your return visit to Bisbee you will stay in either our Western Suites or Captain's Suite because you would NOT have to worry about the stairs. When making reservations we try to ask potential guests if they have any "disabilities" in order to better accommodate them by placing them downstairs if they are unable to climb steps. We appreciate your REVIEW on the hotel and hope that you BOOK with us upon your next trip to Bisbee

Great hotel, all unique themed rooms. Have a party of 4? Must stay in Western Hollywood and Western Room. Not only 2 large separate bedrooms but you also get a sitting salon out front for socializing and party. All to yourselves. Breakfasts are fantastic, comes with rooms. Centre of town where the action is.

The owners (Bill and Valerie), as well as our complete staff, appreciates your review of the BGH. You described the atmosphere that we make every effort to pass on to our guests and that is a "non-chain" place of lodging (resort included) capturing the turn of the century atmosphere whereas guests may relax, have fun, and escapes the stress of metropolitan
cities, U.S.A.

My husband and I are budget travelers. We stumbled upon this hotel - probably on TripAdvisor - looking for a non-chain alternative. This was one of the most charming places we've ever been -- both the town and the hotel which is a bed and breakfast. Take a look at their website. We were given a suite but charged for a smaller room because they weren't booked up at the time. We met interesting people at breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed this small town and the hotel.

Thnak you for discovering the Bisbee Grand Hotel and "reviewing" your stay. There are so many people who make reservation at other places of lodging and just "happen" upon us,by chance, only to cancel their 2nd and 3rd nights stay, elsewhere, in order to experience being a guest at the BGH.

The Grand Hotel is a beautiful Hotel and the staff is just wonderful. There are stairs up to the less expensive rooms and I was not used to taking stairs so it was a nuisance when I was tired. But you get to look at all the rooms when the doors are open and they are so well kept and quaint. I stayed in Room 5, they call it the Cherub room and it was beautiful. I love Angels and roses. It is very worth the stay. I went on a Monday through Wednesday just for a relax and quick getaway from reality. I never been to Bisbee or even heard of it before but was very surprised at the quality of the quaint town. If you ever go there, you HAVE to stop and eat at Sully's Cafe!! That is a MUST!! Only problem is they are closed on Monday's. What a shame! The owner Sully even came to my table just to shake my hand and thank me for coming in. Where do you ever find that anymore?? I never have! Bisbee is the place to go if you LOVE stairs. The whole town is developed with staircases everywhere to get to different degrees of town. It is a remarkable town!! Be careful of the Table restaurant as the prices are extremely high but the food is good and they are always available so they jack up the prices. I might return but maybe I will just keep it as my jewel in the rough!

Room Tip: Room 5 is great without a lot of noise from the bar that plays music nightly. I was told that Room 2...

The onwers (Bill and Valerie) and staff appreciates your review of the BGH. We, also, enjoyed your recommendations of restaurants and other places of interest while visiting Bisbee. The BGH's goal is to offer our guests such an experience while visiting both our place of lodging and Bisbee that they will RETURN at a future time.

It sure was steppping back in time. Thought the place needed a good spring cleaning from floors to ceiling. Window did not stay open unless we put a hanger in it, and the room had a peculiar odor. Our friends stayed in the Hollywood room and had the same experience. Their "parlor" was actually a store front and when we had to open the door to let air in tourists kept putting their heads in to see what we were selling.
I am sure it could be a great place but definitely not 41/2 stars.

We apologize that you and the couple who you were traveling with had a poor experience with us. Again, however, we feel that your review was inaccurate, misleading, and influenced mostly by your friends criticism of our hotel. We upgraded you from room #2 to our popular Hacienda Suite at no extra cost. Myself and my wife, as well as our staff, were extremely disappointed in you criticism of the Hacienda Suite. It certainly is not what you described it to be. Again, as we pointed out in your friend's REVIEW that when we receive a LOW rating in LOCATION the rest of the review is questionable because of our GREAT downtown Historic Bisbee location which is within walking distance to all of the Bisbee shops, restaurants, and even the underground Copoper Queen Mine Tour.

Upon bringing this review before our staff meeting NOBODY who worked on the 6th and 7th of March heard of any complaints and was told by both guests in the Hollywood Western and Hacienda suites that their STAY was fine.

My general manager worked during the a.m. of the 7th and she reassured me that nobody had voiced any complaints.

Just to let the readers know I just interviewed with a family of 3 that stayed in the Hacienda Suite last night, 3/12/13, and they were EXTREMELY happy with the suite, service and the breakfast. We hope they write a review.

Nevertheless, I am copying your review in order to use it as a tool for all of our staff to READ in order for them to understand that there are guests who COMPLAINS dispite my employees constant hard effort to make their stay a delighfull heart warming experience.

What's not to like about a hundred year old hotel complete with ghost?! You check in at the bar next door, then walk up 1 1/2 flights of stairs (because the ceilings are very high), and take time to look in the empty rooms along the path to your evening abode. Enjoy the fabulous chandelier, the individual decorative touches in each room, and wish you had reserved one of the specialty rooms instead of the basic one. Chat with the owner at breakfast which is served in the bar, is hot, plentiful, tasty, and included in the price. The only negative was the "queen" sized bed which was queen-long, but not queen-wide. All the bathrooms I viewed were elevated, so this may not be the best choice for someone on crutches.

Room Tip: Go ahead and splurge on one of the theme rooms.
