There is not much there, but what is there is very accessible and within walking distance from the ferry terminal.

“It was Petroglyph Hide & Seek -- supposed to be 40+ petroglyphs; low tide-we only found 8. Others covered by kelp.”

Well worth the walk then down the well-kept stairs to the beach. If you are not a dog lover, then do NOT throw the stick for the black labrador "greeter." We did, and it was non-stop but very fun.

“Petroglyphs”
Reviewed August 14, 2012

This location contains many petroglyphs, so if this is an interest of yours, I'm sure it fantastic. For the rest of us, the petroglyphs are hard to find and of course faint, since they have been subject to the water, storms, etc. However, the displays on the pier are interesting, there is a nice path for a leisurely hike, and it was a pleasant place to spend a few hours. If the weather is good, perhaps take a picnic.

“Petroglyph beach”
Reviewed August 10, 2012

This is a very beautiful spot where they've found a whole bunch of (I forgot how many... 40?) petroglyphs carved into the rocks. If you have time, it's fun to spend some time looking for all of them. The kids especially will love it. Archeologists don't really know why they were carved, but it's gives you an interesting feeling to stand there and wonder about the people worked on these stones thousands of years ago.

“Worth the hike to Petroglyph”
Reviewed July 15, 2012

When you walk to the beach down the boardwalk, the petroglyphs
Are to your right on the black rocks. Best to go at low tide.
