My wife and I stayed here during our holiday of Alaska in Feb / March 2013.
We came to Willow to watch the Iditarod mushers pass through and watched the event from the frozen swamp about 10 mins walk from the lodge. The locals were really friendly and we both really enjoyed the event. Shirley (the owner) had put on a nice homemade lunch at the lodge and we enjoyed eating some of this before heading down to the race.
The accommodation is rustic and quite basic but warm and dry and exactly what we wanted.
Breakfast the next morning was again home cooked and lovely and we were taken aback by the friendliness of everybody.
