We ate here for breakfast and dinner. The service was slow in the morning - until the other person came on shift. Dinner was reindeer chili, salad, kid's meals. So tasty, hot and the waitress was funny and courteous. We had a wonderful late dinner considering the kids were starting to fade fast. Breakfast took a long time to come, but when it did - the scrambled eggs were some of the best I have ever had. The bacon was fantastic (being canadian, that says a lot) We also had some pancakes. Reasonably priced, fabulous view all around. Really love this establishment and would definitely go back.

This was done of the freshest fish I've had. You could taste that the halibut was fresh. The view was beautiful. If you are in Whittier definitely stop in. We took a tour of the glaciers and was able to eat lunch at the Inn before we did. Couldn't ask for better food or service.

We stopped in at the Inn because we had time before our train. It was a beautiful building. We sat at bar and had a drink, service was great- and I loved the local flavor of the place.

Had dinner and breakfast the next morning here. Nothing to write home about, food was OK - but nothing that was WOW for the price paid. Burgers and regular fare. Not many other options in town having said that.

Since we were doing a sea kayaking day trip and wanted to do some hiking on the Whittier side of the Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel, we decided to stay in the Inn at Whittier rather than returning to Anchorage. It was a good call! Our room was clean, quiet, and featured a beautiful view over the Prince William Sound (the town itself isn't all that scenic and the parking lot was under construction, but even a town-facing view would've been OK, as it's small and the mountains rising behind town are lush with scenic greenery and waterfalls). The staff were courteous & helpful, and the room was a really good value (particularly compared to Anchorage region hotels). The restaurant was good, too. Whittier is small enough that we were able to conveniently use the hotel's parking to avoid the limited 'pay parking' through the rest of the area and just walk around to see the town. On our next trip, I would plan to stay there a couple of nights and use it as a base for day trips up toward Anchorage and further south.
