No deposit required as they explained that Whittier weather is very unpredictable... and boy was it! The weather had been warm and still the day prior to our trip, but the morning of, it was super windy. Staff informed us that the weather was expected to calm down in the afternoon and rather than cancelling the whole trip, rearranged things so that we could still go.

Our guide, Todd, was incredibly thorough with the safety instructions given the weather and then we were off! As the weather cleared, he would check in with us to see if we felt able and willing to venture further. If you get that option (unless you feel like you physically cannot make it any further), DO IT! It was INCREDIBLY beautiful! Every waterfall and rookery swarming with gulls; all very picturesque! Lunch was super yummy and filling with so many options including some delicious smoked salmon. Todd was a very responsible and knowledgeable guide who was energetic and passionate about his surroundings! A joy to talk to! Would take another SeaKayakers trip in a heartbeat.

Our family of five (three adult children) had a fantastic time with Rich and Dave, our guides. Checking in was easy. ASK provided everything we needed for an enjoyable trip, including waterproof boots and pants. Rain jackets were also available at no charge for those who needed them. Rich and Dave provided great instruction before we started and lots of great information about what we were seeing along the way. The picnic lunch provided about 1/2 way through was delicious! With two guides they were able to accommodate the differing abilities of the group so no one was bored or overtaxed. We saw lots of birds, a sea otter, a sea lion, and two waterfalls, in addition to all of the beautiful scenery.

Perfect trip for my active family. Highly recommend!

It was an unbelievable experience!
Our guide Todd was excellent in every way. Very knowledgeable, friendly, & kind.
We kayaked 12 miles, and hiked to a glacier at the end of the trip while waiting for the boat to come get us.
We took a lunch break and food was wonderful and sufficient to give us some energy.

My girlfriend and I just took their Blackstone Bay tour this past weekend and had an amazing time. Our guide Todd was great and made the trip way better than either of us could have expected. They got us all set up in gear to keep us dry and warm the whole day and then a boat ride out to the bay where Todd gave us instructions and got us in the water and on our way pretty quick. The paddle around the bay was absolutely beautiful, the glaciers come right down to the water, you can hear them breaking up from far away while you paddle through large and small chunks of floating ice as you got closer to each one for some amazing views. Lunch was delicious and plentiful. It was nice to get some hot cider in you after sitting in the cold kayak for the morning. After lunch we finished the afternoon off with more paddling to another glacier and an hike to the foot of another before our boat came to pick us up for the ride back. Great day overall, highly recommend them to anyone looking to do a trip.
