“Good Little Museum”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

The Maxine & Jesse Whitney Museum is connected to Prince William Sound Community College. This little museum has a great collection of Alaskan artifacts, and is free to the public (but donations are welcome).

The nice thing about this museum is the collection is just large enough to you a good introduction to Alaska. I am not much of the museum guy. However, this one is just right. I can enjoy it, and not feel like I have been stuck indoors all day.

“This museum is a little gem!”
Reviewed February 6, 2013

Don't miss this wonderful, small museum in Valdez. It is well worth the visit and in less than an hour you'll get to see a terrific cross section of Alaskan life including wonderful wildlife and artifacts. Building is attached to the community college in Valdez and should not be missed when in Valdez especially for those looking for things to do on the many rainy or snow filled days. Great place to take kids.
