Harbor Drive is the road in Valdez that is next to the main marina and this compact area of a couple of blocks, sports a variety of small shops and restaurants. After we parked the vehicle (free parking in this city), we surveyed the area to have lunch.
We noticed the Fat Mermaid had outdoor sidewalk seating and was nearly full with patrons. so we opted to eat here. The corner building with sidewalk dining had an inviting look and is located across the street from the marina. We sat our selves and we were quickly greeted by two people; a very friendly and outgoing server and someone else that I presumed to be the owner.
We ordered the Triple Chicken Quesadilla with Cucumber Ranch and French fries; and the Halibut Taco's with fresh Spinach, Thyme and Mangos sauteed in Maple Whiskey.
Both of our meals were excellent and we will certainly eat here again on a future visit.
