On the plus side, right next to train station. Breakfast extra and adequate, nothing more. Microwave available in hall. When I requested a quiet room they obliged and put me on the top floir, so problem with noise.
Negative- room extremely small. Staff's command of English very poor, and wnen Ipointed out the room had no real air conditioning, all they could say was the air was the same in all rooms, and thus could nit really be cooled. Staff were polite. Checkout time was 10 am which is the earliest I have ever sen in my life, and when I was 30 minutes late checking out tgey charged me an extra 550yen Only about 4 channels on tv, none English

The front desk is on the 2nd level, same level as the train station exit. Breakfast at the Bon casual dining restaurant was included in my package. Free WIFI in the rooms. The WIFI is pretty speedy compared to other hotel I’ve recently been to. My laptop zips along. Nice, comfortable, small but efficient businessman type room.

The pedestrian bridge connected the hotel with the Takaoka station in 2014. Now the accessibility to the hotel is better than the past.

The hotel is a non-descript hotel, but the staff is crisp and friendly, also the facility is very clean. In addition, it is very convenient because lots of restaurants open in the same building, e.g. the Japanese nudle, an Italian food, a beef barbecue restaurants, etc.

In 2015, the bullet train will link between the city of Takaoka and Tokyo in 2 hours, however, the train will not stop at the station close to the hotel but an newly built Takaoka station, approx 2km away from the hotel. So we will have to take a taxi to come here.
