My boyfriend and I went to Dream's beach with our friends (another couple). What a superb holiday and we really didn't want to come home after a week in the sun! More or less everything was spot on for us as we wanted a lovely relaxing break. The rooms were perfect: large, clean, huge bed, lovely, cool air con, no problems with insects and a lovely little balcony. The food was amazing, there was loads of choice! the buffet had something for everyone, also the small selection of Egyptian food they offered is definately worth a try and the bbq meat selection was yummy every night! One thing is to just be careful what you eat, however I suppose that advice applies to more or less any holiday abroad! Breakfast was amazing too, my friend and I became slightly obsessed with the waffle pancakes by the end of the holiday! We stayed by the pool everyday so just went to the snack bar for lunch which was a lovely little buffet itself! We also tried the grill...which was just ok really but worth a try for something different from the restaurant. However we really enjoyed the Indian restaurant (which you have to pay for)...be careful the food is really hot but still absolutely gorgeous! The staff were brilliant and very accomodating! However the animation team, although very friendly, can be quite pushy around the pool to join in activities which can become quite annoying, and also the nightime entertainment provided by them we went to was not the best. The hotel could be absolutely amazing at nighttime (my friends and I found loads of unused bars around the hotel), and I think this is the only downside of the hotel. However, we had fun entertaining ourselves and there is a lovely relaxed atmosphere...we really enjoyed the Shisha tent! and the drinks are really lovely...although my friend and I weren't too sure about the stop serving wine after 10 rule! The trips they had on on offer The complex as a whole is really pretty...especially at night when all the fairy lights are lit it's really beautiful. Also we went snorkling in the sea when the yellow flag was up (often the red flag is up as it's dangerous) and that was a brill experience as there's loads of different fish! Also the facilities around the pool are brill! plenty of sunbeds, lots of pools (the main pool is huge!), lovely snack bar! Also I would recommend the health spa, my friend and I went for a massage which was superb! All in all a real gem of a place, not sure if we'd go back as my boyfriend and I have loads of other places we want to go, but would recommend it to anyone who wants a chill out break in the hot Egyptian sun!

we have just returned from a week at dreams beach on our honeymoon ! and have had a fantastic time , the hotel is beautiful and kept immaculate by the staff , the rooms are well equipt with a free safe , fridge with bottles of water replaced daily , and the biggest bed we have ever seen , the bathroom has complimenery toiletries and a fantastically fast and hot hairdryer !!! .
The food is great there is so much to choose from , with something to please everyone as long as your not expecting egg and chips for tea !!!! like some guests . the pool bar provides late breakfast and then snacks for dinner and amazing fresh crepes till 6pm. granted you dont get icecream but go to the restaurant at lunch and they have icecream in little pots so you can take them away .The evening meals are served buffet style with a vast amount to choose from including a childrens area with little chairs and tv, diet area ( yeah right on my hols ) . soups were yummy and the deserts were to die for .there is separate restaurants including a grill and italian place that need to be booked .they have midnight snacks on too ! .
There were always spare loungers around the pool so no getting up at silly oclock , The staff at the pool come around on an afternoon with ice cold face clothes and melon for guests which was fantastic in the lovely heat , it was very breezy but it was a god send as it was HOT HOT HOT !!!. you will find if you tip the pool bar staff you are forever being brought ice cold drinks to your lounger .the only down side is the sun goes down quite early about 5pm, although it is hot from 7am .
there is a good animation team that seemed to work 24/7 entertaining the kids, although 1 young man was a little forward at times with the young girls !!. the night entertainment was a man singing then kareoke , not good but funny to watch , the bar in the lobby is 24hr all inclusive , although a couple of the staff were a bit miserable and seem to favour the RUDE italian guests , that dont know how to wait for anything . just stand your ground and dont let them in HAHA !!!.
If your wanting to sit back and chill on your hols this is the place but if you are wanting the hussle and bussle of the likes of benidorm its not .
i can not praise this hotel enough its a fantastic little find and we cant wait to go back .
nicola & adrian .

just got back last night from Dreams and I am totally missing it, the hotel is absolutely spotless and from the minute you walk through the door at check in to leaving at check out and beyond in our case, the staff can't do enough for you they are all superb, especially and I have to mention them (this is not taking anything away from the other staff) Ashraf the Karaoke guy, Sharif one of the Bar/Restaurant Managers, Mohammed one of the life guards and last but definately not least Johnny on the animation team who does the stretching every morning although those of you that are going after today won't see him as he has gone back to Hurghada to start his "real life" with his wife the lovely Simone (looked after the children in the kids club) there was 10 of us and we all had a brilliant time the kids 15,14,11,9 all had a fantastic time my 9 year old was crying when we were leaving. The food was excellent, you could always find something you liked, the very delicious banana crumble, and the egyptian rice pudding is essential to try but all the food was lovely we didn't have a bad meal. The rooms are cleaned and changed on a daily basis, the very welcome bringing of iced towels at 2ish. The animation team work very hard and Lito won't take no for an answer with his aqua gym but just go with it it's really good fun. Have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this hotel and would definately go back again. DREAMS BEACH WE LOVED YOU XXX

Returned last night from the Dreams Beach, Marsa Alam. This is an excellent complex. The staff cannot do enough for you and the rooms are spotless. They are cleaned on a daily basis with bedding and towels also changed daily.
The weather was HOT HOT HOT and it was made more bearable by a slight breeze. The animation team are very FUNNY and do there best to keep everyone entertained.
The Hotel itself is on its own beach, with sunbeds both poolside and on the beach being provided free. The sea can be very rough so therefore swimming in the sea is not always possible. And footwear should always be worn. The beach is not all sand but a bit stoney but nevertheless very beautiful. They have several pools to choose from which are spotless.
The food in the hotel is fantastic and they cater for every taste. The have several restaurants each one equally as good. You will never go hungry. Diet needed now!!!
The hotel is secluded with only desert for miles around. They do have security guards on patrol which does make you feel very safe. Which as a single mother travelling with two young daughters was very comforting.
My only very small criticism would be that the night time entertainment is a bit hit and miss, but that really is just being petty.
We have had a wonderful time and would certainly return.

My husband and I went to Dreams Beach for our honeymoon - I'd read all the reviews and they'd made me slightly hesitant, I was especially concerned about the poor reviews with regards to food as my hubby loves to eat! I can honestly say that I didn't have one single problem with the resort - the food was fantastic and there was loads of it - I've never eaten so well! The staff are out of this world and will go out of their way to help you! Admittedly, the hotel is in the middle of nowhere but there is plenty to do, we were only there 6 days as our flight was delayed by 24 hrs (don't fly with Monarch) but in those 6 days we swam with turtles and dolphins, went snorkelling, had scuba diving lessons, rode camels and drove quad bikes into the desert and relaxed by the pool! BEFORE YOU COMPLAIN THAT THIS HOLIDAY IS BORING GO AND FIND SOMETHING TO DO!!!!!!!!!!
I would love to go back to this resort sometime - it exceeded all my expectations and we had a fantastic honeymoon. We both miss Egypt and all the wonderful people we met!

I have read some of the bad reviews on this hotel and I am a bit suprised to say the least!

I loved this place, yes ok, it is more like 4* than 5* but then you are paying 3/4* prices to stay there, so why complain? The food was nice.. me and my friend lasted a week without getting a tummy bug (which people always seem to moan about with Egypt) but you just have to be carefull about what you eat really.

If you want an action packed holiday with stuff to do constantly, you will probably hate it, but if you want to chill out for a week or two, with nothing planned beyond sunbathing, hitting the beach, bit of snorkling/diving and relaxing evening then the place is great.

Oh and the 3hr Camal Safari accross the Desert was fab and we also went horse riding which was fab, especially galloping accross the Desert! Big thumbs up!

The staff were fantastic, very friendly.. we had one incident in the restaraunt where the waiters were a little lairy (2 girls on holiday without boyfriends, shock horror!) But the Manager was quick to sort that out!

The hotel itself is very nice and has 4 different restaurants. The food itself was of a decent standard all round but the best would probably have been the italian. In the evenings the entertainment was a little dodgey and there is only really 1 bar to get drinks from. There was a nightclub (sort of) but to get a drink you had to walk out to the main lobby bar :-(
The beach was very disapointing it was a shell beach and had rocks all the way out till you come to a big shelf where there is a massive drop, but before you get to this there is a little man on the bach who blows his whistle at you & tells you to come back so as you couldnt really swim we spent most days by the pool.
The hotel is quite a long way away from any cultural areas of interest so would avoid if thats what your after. I would recommend this hotel only for older couple wanting to relax or people just after & week in the sun/pool as other than that theres nothing really for kids ect
