The hotel was very clean, rooms lovely looks like Fred Flintstones house.Food could have been better and also the drinks ran out of beer one day then tried to charge you for a premium beer. Snorkelling fantastic at local beach but water freezing need shorties.Paul rep great but has now moved onto a resort in Greece best of luck to him. Staff really nice and friendly.Limited shops as we found out as suitcase never arrived the whole week we were there and was unable to buy essential clothing thanks to all that lent items to us while out there. So make sure you pack a mixture of clothing etc in 2 cases which we didnt we did get our case back on our return to Gatwick it fell off the belt.
Anyway fantastic destination and hotel bit windy but still really hot must do Bedawyn evening food fantastic and enjoyable evening would we go back? YES we took our 2 kids 8 and 11 and they had a great time go before it is spoilt............

We have spent the most wonderful relaxing week ever at this fabulous hotel.
The staff can not do enough for you and the hotel is immaculately clean. Our room was huge and a different towel sculpture was left on our bed every day.

The restaurant is huge and the food is plentiful, so too is the alcohol - the measurments though alittle on the large side but no complaints. Wine is also served all day. We also ate at the Fish Restaurant at the next hotel "The Kahramana" which was superb and very resonably priced as you get 25% off.

The sunbeds are very comfy and the hotel provides beach towels for you. The water is crystal clear and if you are lucky enough you may encounter the baby shark who frequently visits. Weather was fabulous and came back with a good tan.

Trips - We went camel trekking and visited a bedouins camp for tea and coffee. If you want to do a local trip then this is the trip to do - unforgettable and a real laugh.

The hotel is exceptionally friendly and we met a lovely couple from Ashbourne - Hello to Fi and Alan and thanks for all the laughs, stories and hangover headaches we had.

Only draw back is it gets quite chilly at night so pack a few jumpers for the evening.

Go to this hotel before it gets too busy for a relaxing time and a great holiday.

We looked at several options for a winter sun break before deciding on Marsa Alam. We wanted a shortish flight, guaranteed sunshine and a bit of culture so Eygpt fitted the bill perfectly. We also thought that £400 each was a good deal for all inclusive for a week.

Calimera Habiba is a new resort on the shores of the Red Sea and we choose it due to good reports from other TripAdvisor users which proved to be honest and accurate.

Good points about the resort:

* Our room was huge, with a sea view and a very comfortable bed. Great shower, plentiful hot water and very clean.
* There are loads of places to set up camp on sunbeds for the day - we spent most of our time on the beach which is beautiful with palm trees and crystal clear water.
* Its a very friendly resort and the Brits all tended to chat in the bar at night so it made for a good atmosphere. We met a wonderful couple from Congleton - hello Gareth and Julie!

Must Do's:

* Go camel riding and then for tea with the Bedouins. Unforgettable experience.
* Pack your snorkel - even if you can't swim well, the beach is protected by a breakwater and you will see tropical fish in water 3 feet deep.
* Have dinner in the Seafood restaurant 'On the Rocks' on a market day (Friday, Sunday, Tuesday) - the best grilled fish we've ever had.

Drawbacks:

There were'nt any for us as we'd been to Luxor the year before and plan to visit Cairo and the Pyramids at a future date. If this was your only trip to Eygpt and you wanted to do the main sites, then this is not the best location - better off to stay in Luxor.
Similarly, if you want a lot of organised evening entertainment, then again, there are probably better options in the more established resorts further north.

What to pack:

* Something warm to wear in the evenings
* Sandals to wear swimming
* Factor 30 suncream

Happy holidays

We spent two fantastic weeks at this hotel from 17/1 to 31/1. The resort is of a very high standard and is one of the cleanest that we have stayed in anywhere in the world. There is a good variety of food - I mean there was plenty for us to choose from, and we always found something that we liked.. Some people disagreed, but you have to make up your own mind. We ate out a couple of times in the fish restaraunt - the quality, price and choice was excellent. The hotel manager was fantastic, and so was the food and beverages manager, and this friendly, helpful attitude was reflected in the other staff. The entertainments team worked hard to ensure all guests had a good time and felt involved. The beaches were great with plenty of sunbeds. All in all a great place to relax. (We also went quad Biking in the desert twice - great fun and a good way to see the sunset.)
