Loved this hotel. Only down side is the wifi!! So slow and not available in the rooms, the staff first class and helpful. Food super, but could do with more restaurants, no international drinks available as all inclusive so you have to pay for the best brands, drinks in rooms not covered by all inclusive, many people swimming over the coral reef when it's not allowed, and the treatment of animals outside is terrible.

Room Tip: Top rooms have view

What can one say other than this hotel is fantastic and a great place for a quiet, relaxing holiday. We will definitely be going again this winter.
One almost forgets that this is a package hotel, one that is amazing value and with exemplary service for this type of hotel. In the winter ask for an upstairs room - most have sunny balconies. In the summer ground floor will be better as the rooms are more shady.

The Coraya provides a perfect holiday bubble where one can swim, sunbathe, and snorkel and see amazingly colourful reef fish. Not a good place to start looking at archeological sites - it is a long way from Cairo and the Nile. They are better seen on another trip. The area is a long way from the nearest town so is unlikely to ever have any security problems.

Food is excellent, especially if you like Egyptian food. Staff are delightful and work incredibly hard. They do everything they can to make sure you enjoy your stay. There is a small gym, and an animation team who are very friendly and provide activities during the day and little shows every evening but do not hassle you when they realise you are not interested.
Egyptian incomes are tiny and there is massive unemployment. Pay in the hospitality industry is always low, so please do tip the staff. All Inclusive packages are good for us, but contribute little to local economies as the hotels and tour companies are usually foreign owned and managed. Even a small amount will make a big difference to them and their communities. The staff are really helpful and make the holiday. We will definitely go back again!

Returned in February 14 to this beautiful hotel and hoped that it was as good as the previous year.
It wasn't. It was even better!!!!!
The hotel was if possible even cleaner, the gardens more beautiful and the staff more helpful.
The food was great as usual and the service was as friendly and helpful as before. The staff that were around in2013 even remembered us and welcomed us back- We know that is their job but can assure you it doesn't happen often in other hotels!
A welcome addition was Amanda the hotels customer relations manager. She was incredible- nearly every day she walked around the grounds, stopping to talk to all the guests with a pen and paper to note down any comments, suggestions or complaints. The best thing was that she acted on these immediately !A wonderful lady-thanks Amanda!
It is impossible to name all the wonderful staff but Mr Amr,Mr Azim-who managed to arrange that we and our friends had the same rooms as before,Mohammed (2 at the pool bar) Mahsob,Massalan,Ahmed our room boy who made our room beautiful every day-and all the gardeners and other people who made the hotel so special.
We will hopefully be back next year- but can't see how it can improve again!!!!!

Room Tip: Higher rooms get a lovely sunset- but all are beautiful.

We stayed as a couple for one week all inclusive in the Coraya Beach hotel. Our overall experience was great and we will definitely consider coming back in the future.

Check in was quick and professional. We did not like our first room which was on the ground floor, but this was no problem and we were shown a new room witch we liked better. The room is a little bit dated, but has everything you could ask for.
We did not like the mattress. It was to hard and bouncy, but you can ask to change this also.

The food was really good and we ate every night in the main restaurant. We did not go to any of the A la carte restaurants. We had lunch at the beach bar one day, but this was disappointing. Really limited choice, so all other lunches we had in the main restaurant. The service was really excellent and we were able to eat outside each day.

The layout of the resort is great. In the evening we went for a run around the bay and back which was great exercise.
Most days we stayed at the pool. And we had no trouble finding a quiet spot. Service at the pool and at the beach was really good also.

The animation team was really enthusiastic but not pushy. Each evening had a show, and most of them were good. The singer/guitarist who took over after the show was not so good. And most people leave after the show as the music is not inviting to dance.

This was our 6th trip to Egypt and the service was probably the best we experienced so far.

Room Tip: All rooms seem good, but we prefer a room on the top floor of its building.

We travelled with friends in the last few days of February and stayed for one week. The weather was variable - always warm but for the first couple of days with a strong wind which necessitated wearing a pullover or jacket when sitting out in the evening. This was our fourth annual trip to the Red Sea resorts of Egypt through the months of January and February . It seems to us the nearest and best guaranteed warmth at this time of year for Britons and we have never been disappointed. We have been to Taba Heights, Sahl Hasheesh twice and now Marsa Alam. We have already booked to return to Sahl Hasheesh in November. From this you will gather that we really like the area and this hotel did not disappoint. The setting and architecture of the hotel is really attractive and the staff have not been bettered wherever we have gone in the world - it really was "service with a smile" from everybody with bar staff anticipating our requirements almost before we sat down and Amanda arranging for a softer mattrass and pillows following our first night. Truly superb service throughout the hotel from Ibrahim who made up our room each day to the management who were extremely visible throughout our stay and asked us if everything was to our satisfaction and what could they do to improve. My feedback to that question was that I think the food served does not match that we have experienced in Sahl Hasheesh. It is entirely adequate and all four of us put on weight during our stay so none of us went hungry!! Again for any readers who may have concerns about food hygiene in Egypt we have experienced no problems on any of our trips and this hotel proudly displays awards they have received in this regard. The beach is not a traditional sandy beach, but rather compacted sand surrounding a coral bay which is well used for snorkling and diving. Being of a somewhat mature vintage we made do with a daily walk around the bay to the jetty on the other side - maybe a kilometre or so - and viewed the many multi coloured fish from dry land! Our room was on the ground floor of Block 28 with somthing of a sea view and very convennient for everything we wanted in the hotel. The rooms are spacious with a bed area, indoor and outdoor sitting area and of course en-suite. They certainly compare favourably with the many other hotels we have experienced. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided in room as is a mini bar fridge. I think long life milk in the fridge would be an improvement over the packets of creamer provided as this does not go well with tea. Additionally to charge all-inclusive customers for using beer from their room fridge and any snacks eaten, when it is free from the bar, seems not only parsimonious but rather silly. However, that said, these are small matters and we all left wjth a very positive view of this hotel and will probably return for another holiday in the future.

26th February - 5th March, first visit to Egypt and couldn't have picked a better hotel or better location. We spent most day's sat by the pool and were waited on all the time, coffee, beer, ice creams a real treat. Our room No: 2004 was exactly as you would expect for a 5 star hotel and would like to thank Yousry again for looking after us. We were with good friends which made our stay even better. All the staff were really friendly and attentive especially Amanda. We are already planning to come back next year.

We visited for a second time in February with friends, and can only praise both the resort and the staff. The standards have been maintained, with some even improving. We had fantastic rooms overlooking the pool, which was what we requested. Our room attendant, Ahmed, looked after us very well and kept our rooms spotless. He left different towel decorations every day. The gardens are just as lovely as we remembered them and the staff do an excellent job of looking after them.
During the day we relaxed by the pool bar, and were looked after by all the staff - the three Mohammed's, Mashob and Mosallam (it was lovely that Mosallam recognised us from our last visit). We couldn't fault the food in the restaurant. The choice was extensive and varied, and the standard was very high. Each evening there was a carvery as well as a barbecue on the terrace. The waiters were excellent, with particular thanks to Tito. We visited Fayruz, and can highly recommend it, especially the steak. We also went to Sofra for dinner, which was very good.
A couple of evenings we visited the Shisha bar which was very relaxing. Zuzu's balcony was a great place to watch the evening entertainment from.
Being adults only, this is a very peaceful and relaxing hotel, with low key entertainment. The temperature makes it an ideal winter destination, and we only needed a cardigan a few of the evenings.
Once thing we really like about this hotel is that all management are very visible. They were often to be seen walking around talking to guests and making sure everything was OK - thank you to all of you! Amr and Azim were very helpful, and it was nice to talk to them both. We would also like to thank Amanda. She is a great asset, and does a fantastic job as guest relations manager.
Last but not least, thank you to Samy, the Thomson's advisor. He does a great job, and was available if needed.

Room Tip: High floors have good views
