“Excellent Hotel”

We have just got back from the adults only Coraya Beach Resort. They have the best registration process, brilliant. It is ideal for a winter break as it is on the north side of a bay facing south so it is protected from the winter wind so you can snorkel every day even when the Red Sea is rough, if you have mobility difficultly you can walk into the sea with out having to go down steps, you do need beach shoes as although the sand around the beds is soft on the edge and in the sea there are some stones and coral. There are lots of fish to see even if you stand in the water some stripey fish swim around you legs. There are lots of beds and umbrella's on the beach. They have a mini bus that takes you to the port in the morning for the dive boats although you can dive in the bay and go by zodiac to the boats as well with the tanks etc.,
The restaurant is lovely, quite big but resigned with arches and pillars so seems smaller, a word of warning, make sure you know where your table is and put something on it so you can recognize it as all the tables look the same, you will see people wandering about looking for where they were sitting. Food was very good, a lot of choice always a BBQ and grill's as well as pasta salads, fish etc.,
Room was very comfortable, you could have a choice of mattress and pillows harder or softer. Our room boy Ghareb kept the place spotless and did some wonderful towel decorations every day. Laundry was free. All the rooms were either around the pool, bay or sea, mostly on two floors with wonderful trees and flowers bougainvillea, all colours and some were 10 meters or 30' high. The hotel is laid out like a village with little pathways going through, very pretty.
The heated pool was a lovely 31* and it was more of a walk up pool bar than a swim up as it was only 3' deep. The others which were not heated were 20* and the sea was 22* and getting warmer.
The animation team were excellent they put on a show most nights, different themes, there is even one couple who are knife throwers. The usual things during the day, volley ball, boules, aqua aerobics, stretching and dancing, no pressure you could just lay there in the sun if you wanted too. The Day and Night bar light a fire at 7pm, whether they will do that when it is hot but it does look nice. The staff are all very good and Amanda (English) who is in charge of guest relations makes sure if you have a problem it gets sorted out. Almost all the people who cam an this trip were returnees and we will definitely be going back next year and I an going to get myself a wetsuit so I can see the fish, they do rent suits, goggles, flippers etc., a suit is 5 Euros to hire and they have a shop which sell snorkeling gear and shoes. There are a lot of different trips to go on, we didn't do any of them but people who did said they were very good.

Room Tip: We were in block 15, but we wouldn't mind where we went as they are all well placed in the compl...

My husband and I have just returned from 2 weeks at the Coraya - all I can say is that it was the most wonderful holiday we have ever had. The staff at the Hotel cannot do enough to make your holiday special. The food is excellent, the animation team are so lovely, and they dont keep hassling you to join in. Amanda is the best, and ofcourse, the infamous Sami - what can I say. He is truly amazing and one of the nicest people we have had the pleasure of meeting. Free laundery is a big bonus, and as for the sea - wow! Watch out for the large barracuda that is lurking!! Words do not explain what a wonderful place this is. Go and see for yourselves, you would be silly not too.

Room Tip: The sea view rooms our well worth it - ours was 1604 - perfect

Although we have never before returned to a previous holiday destination, we’ve just spent our second consecutive February holiday at this glorious hotel .. and once again it didn’t disappoint!
Because the ‘resort’ is centred around the Bay hotels and is surrounded by desert, this really is a beach holiday, but one set in a top quality hotel within beautiful gardens - as have been well described by previous reviewers.
For us, the weather was perfect - hot during the day, with a pleasantly cool breeze (ladies may need a light cardigan) at night.
The free Laundry was a real bonus, the all-inclusive drinks were of good quality (I recommend the Daiquiri) and the Buffets were varied, delicious and beautifully presented.
We are particularly keen on snorkelling, and the hotel Reef, literally only a few steps off the sandy beach, offered a huge array of beautiful, wierd and incredibly colourful fish, plus Barracudas and Morays!
What really makes the Coraya Beach exceptional, apart from the setting/facilities, are the Staff. The Thomson Rep Samy and the Hotel Rep Amanda were always very helpful and accessible. The Animation Team (particularly the ever smiling Zorro) worked hard and although they tried (and in our case failed!) to motivate us to participate in low key activities such as AquaGym etc. during the day, and in the evening Shows, they were not pushy. In fact everyone from the gardeners, our ‘Room boy’ (thanks Yousry!), the cheerful Waiters (our favourite was tall, quiet Ahmed at the Beach/Terrace bars), the Reception staff (who patiently helped me to access the free Wifi) ... right up to the Management, were always very keen to check that our holiday was going well and to help if there were problems, however slight.
We had a great fortnight in the sun. The Egypt ‘situation’ didn’t affect us at all, and we would be totally happy to recommend the Coraya Beach to all our friends and family.

This really is a superb Hotel. A short drive from the Airport so minimal transfer. The hotel is stylish, beautifully laid out and spotlessly clean. The staff are impeccably turned out, friendly and efficient. The top management were charming, helpful and always available. The layout of the pools, bar areas and courtyards around the room blocks give the hotel an intimate feel, the rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The restaurant is excellent with constantly changing menus and a variety of delicious food. The beach was spotlessly clean and the bay with its crystal clear water a joy to swim in and i would certainly recommend a day or so in a beach lodge. The weather was just the right temperature with an abundance of sunshine. At the end of my week in this lovely place I wished i had booked two and i will certainly be going back.

Room Tip: When I go again I will request rooms overlooking the bay or out to the Red Sea although there was no...

We were there for two weeks in February 2014. It was our first holiday in Egypt and we all absolutely loved it. The staff ( in all areas) are very friendly and helpful. We would return without a doubt.

We went to this resort October 2013 and it was lovely, the staff were so helpful, the whole place was spotless and very welcoming and friendly. pools and area was amazing and the entertainment team were so much fun. Drinks and food great. Only little niggle you have to pay for the beer in the room, don't expect this in an "All INC" hotel. But not a big issue really as plenty of bars.
The washing your clothes service is a luxury to be taken up on. I would definitely go back here.
Massage people a bit too pushy!

Room Tip: closer to the pool is best but all are great
