Short summary: Above regular for all-inclusive, but still… average.

This was our first all-inclusive experience, since regularly we rather book half board. But then, out there in the desert you’re probably better off with full board anyway. Marsa Alam is about 30km down the road, Port Galib 30km up. So you don’t have so many options to begin with. There are some restaurants on the perimeter, but closed. Anyway, the food was quite okay for all-inclusive, even though I’m a bit picky, I found something to my liking every day. They offered some dishes made to order, BBQ Tuesdays and always had a fresh selection of salads. Contrary to previous reviews, I found everything clean and tidy, and the service was okay, too. Not even a hint of Pharao's Revenge was observed.

The room was okay, too. The boys did a good job at cleaning and we found some new towel-art every other day. Beds are not really comfy, but acceptable. The bathroom was clean too, water quality okay even for tooth-brushing, warm water provided 24/7.

They have some shops, but those where rather poor in range of items and sales skills. The dice-center and bell-desk did a far better job. The concierge even ordered a rental car for me. It was present at the fixed time at the front entrance, fueled up and ready to go. They even made sure that I get Fuel Service Option because the situation at the fuel stations was somewhat shaky that time.

So, there was nothing to actually complain about, some nice extras, but in the end it’s a tourist-center like any other along the shore of the Red Sea. Some open every year, some get broke on the same rate. If you don’t get your expectations too high, you won’t be disappointed.

On the first day,the toilet was dirty.I tell them but they never clean that day.I have to clean the toilet&the room. Please count your money always.Eventhough,we give always for the room cleaning, pool bars&restaurants. They also steal some coins in our bag.
During check out, please remind them or else knocking at the door and pick up your luggage even your not yet ready. They don't let the guest bring their luggage.I know that it was their job.

I went to Happy Life Resort in Marsa Alam, Egypt the first week of Febuary 2012 for a family vacation. It is a very beautiful Resort. The staff and management works together as a team to help you feel at home. All staff was always smiling and very friendly. The resort 2 large adult pools one with a swim up bar and 3 water slides, also one big pool for the children with two slides. There is an onsite diving and snorkling facility, a boardwalk, sea front to relax by the sea, volleyball, also a childrens playground, a state of the art spa and fitness center with a childrens area inside the facility, main lobby where you eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, lobby has a place to nrelax and order drinks after your meal, has a game area with computers and internet, a pool table and ping pong table, the bar area is fully loaded and has a big dance floor and every night there is different enternaiment, on site clinic with a Doctor, different stores inside the resort for shopping for jewerly, fine oils and perfumes, clothes and purses. Rooms has telephone, satelite television, refigrator, huge closet with safe, rooms are very well designed and as are the bathrooms. all rooms have balconies with chairs and tables and most rooms have sea view. The Happy Life Resort is nicely designed and just built verything is new. I can not wait until next year for another vacation at Happy Life Resort. Thanks to the kind staff for a vacation to remember.

Room Tip: I think all rooms are great but if you need something special please ask your travel agent or custom...
