I've been to Egypt at least 10 times and can honestly say that this was the best hotel I've been in so far. It caters to families with kids. We have a baby and a special needs child and really appreciated the fact that we were in a place where there were ramps for a stroller and an elevator. We even got a small tub for our baby. Good playground, free mini golf, tennis, table tennis, sand volleyball and bocci before 5pm. We loved our room. Nice decor. Clean. Workers were very polite and efficient. Not sure how many of these kind of rooms are, but we got two rooms that connect together at the entrance. That was nice.
If there was one complaint, it may be the lack of fresh fruit (besides apples, oranges and bananas). However, about half-way through our time, we were asked by the hostess if there was anything we didn't like. When we mentioned this, from that next day on, there was fresh guava every day. I wouldn't say the food was excellent, but it was definitely good enough quality for those who don't come to Egypt for the food (which is who?).
The other thing about this place is it's growth potential. The local marina and marketplace is already opening many new shops and more are on the horizon. Already there is a Costa Coffee and a TGIFridays, both with free wifi. This is all within a 10 minute walk.
Probably the best part about this place though, and in comparison with other places, is the beach. Although right in front of the hotel, the beach access is a little difficult, just a 5-10 minute walk down the beach is an excellent sandy beach with great access to coral. Also, the two piers right there are also great places for snorkeling. You won't want to go anywhere else to see great fish.
Overall, an excellent experience at an affordable price. We will be back and we'll be bringing more friends with us. If only there were perks for return customers!
