We stayed recently for one night with our one year old baby boy and loved it. The room at the top with the two skylights is far more impressive and comfortable than the pics suggest. An extremely well designed and maintained room. The owners also have a lovely warm style about them. I really enjoyed talking to Cath but also feel that the she would be astute enough to pick up on guests who'd rather have a more detached experience. An impressive place all round. We slept extremely well.

We had one night staying at Cath and Brian's bed and breakfast. After a very long journey, we were made to feel extremely welcome and the accommodation was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and very homely. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of it. Cath and Brian are delightful hosts. We would love to return and stay for a bit longer. Highly recommend it.

Having seen a banner advert we pulled over and asked for 2 singles or a twin and were offered the studio apartment with 2 beds at a decent price.
It was large and self contained with a good size wetroom which both of us were happy with.
Brian and Cath were lovely hosts with a great knowledge of the local area they were only too pleased to share.
We were given a choice for breakfast of either eating at the local pub with whom they had an arrangement or, they would fill the fridge for us to help ourselves. We took the latter and weren't disappointed.
When we asked about motorcycle parking, Brian moved a car and we could put the bikes in the garden.
All in all a lovely couple with a lovely place.

Loved my stay here, really welcoming hosts and modern house. Location ideal with places to eat and the small high street nearby. Single room not gigantic but perfectly fine. Meticulously clean and a lovely breakfast.

Right in the middle of Newport with restaurants nearby our stay at Cath and Brian's B&B was spot on. Room was extremely comfortable and absolutely spotless with coffee and tea and biscuits provided. Breakfast was plentiful and more than enough. Very friendly and one could come and go without having to wake up the owners. Definately a place that invites another visit.

This was our first visit to Hengoed, but it most certainly will not be our last! Cath & Brian are delightful hosts and their breakfasts are exceptional: fresh fruit salad, outstanding local bread and superb locally produced range of jams. Wherever possible the ingredients are locally sourced. Our room, which had its own separate entrance to the house, was very comfortable, as were the beds (a single and a double) and we also had our own very well equipped kitchen. We have made many visits to this area of North Pembrokeshire in recent years but Cath & Brian were still able to send us off to discover and enjoy new places and sights! Cath & Brian have managed to create a wonderfully homely, relaxed air to their spotlessly clean and comfortable B&B.

Cath and Brian could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The room was quite small but enitrely adequate, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was excellent, with a stunning array of wonderful jams made locally. Access to coastal walking is very good.
