Description: Morawelon is a friendly, family run restaurant overlooking Newport Bay. It has stunning sea views to the front and views of the Preseli hills to the rear. Morawelon offers a range of lunches from fresh local seafood to speciality sandwiches and on a Sunday we serve a Sunday roast (using meats from our local butchers). If you are not hungry, why not pop in for a fresh cup of coffee and a freshly baked Danish pastry or a delicious cake. To the rear we have A beautiful family run campsite that has been in our family since it opened in the early 1920's. Nestled between the backdrop of Carningli ( Mountain of Angels ) and the stunning waterfront sea views of Parrog and Newport sands ( often called Traeth Mawr which is Welsh for big beach). You really could not find a better location for a seaside holiday than this stunning campsite. We also have a holiday bungalow to rent throughout the year. It sleeps 8 to 10 people and has stunning views across Newport Bay.

Great position overlooking the estuary, the sands and sea at Newport. Good food and coffee and very pleasant wines, what more could you want?
Really friendly staff and always popular.

Fresh food, nicely presented with a reasonably sized salad garnish.

Absolutely dreadful 'fresh' coffee. It musst have been in the coffee machine for at least one hour when they poured it for me.
Bad service too, the place was empty with the staff chatting at the back, and they took ages to come and take my order.
Nice Welsh cake but jam is cheap, cream not very fresh either.
So all in all, give this place a miss!

Visited on a very busy Easter holiday. Booked ahead and although the service was a little slow, this was due to the large number of customers. The food was excellent, substantial and good value. They have redefined the sandwich and made it into a complete meal! Well done.

I was invited to attend a dinner meeting at Morawelon last night, and was pleasantly surprised by both the atmosphere and the standard of the food. Having been told before hand that the venue was a 'cafe but with great food' I was amazed by both the ambience and the standard of food, which was over and above what I had expected.

I had chosen a salmon fillet for my main course, and it was huge! It was twice the size at least of the largest fillet I've ever bought in high street, and well cooked. The supporting selection of vegetables were both seasonal and again well cooked. The dessert was again delightful - fresh cream and fresh strawberries in a meringue roulade and followed by coffee and mints.

The interior of Morawelon is well decorated, the mural colourful but not over the top. Facilities are clean and tidy, and the seating is comfortable and tables tidy, nicely presented and lighting is sensible and not too bright.

Overall a very pleasant evening, nicely surprised by the whole experience.
