At arrival you're greeted by the owner of the Pension Hotu who runs both places.
You immediately feel like 2nd class guest as the owner stays at her other pension and only "visits" to hand over breakfast (basic bread/coffee). There's not many bikes available (most of them are at the other pension), and there is no restaurant/snaks around so the only option is to have dinner at Pension Hotu for quite an expensive price.
The accomodation in itself is very basic, which is fine; but the the beach is not very clean or nice to hang around.
If you have the choice, go to Pension Hotu as the beach is a lot better! and the accomodation looks much better too.
Even better go away from the village and visit the Hakamanu Lodge (search on TA) which is a lodge on a private motu, an absolute gorgeous place (check my other review).
