We stayed here for 5 nights in December 2019. It is truly like paradise! Not many people around and it is on a private island.

The hotel staff picked us up from the airport, and took us a short car ride to the boat, which was then about a 20 minute ride to the resort. Check in was easy and the reception staff were all very helpful and friendly, and spoke good English.

Our overwater bungalow (#2) was clean, comfortable, and they were very accommodating adding a 4th bed into the room for us. In the room there was tea and coffee facilities, a minibar, bathroom with a shower and hand basin. There was also a glass window to look down below the bungalow at the fish, which could be lit up at night also. Plenty of reef sharks swim around the bungalow around 5pm. The views from the balcony are amazing out over the lagoon, and the snorkelling underneath our bungalow was the best in the resort - beautiful coral and 1000s of fish. No water access from the balcony, but the ladder was just a short way down the boardwalk. It was also handy having the ice machine right opposite the room on hot days.

The resort facilities were very good, with free kayaks, games room, volleyball and table tennis etc on offer. They also had bikes to hire for a small fee. The beach was very pretty. Wifi was free, and worked very well. Water is also drinkable so we didn't need to buy any.

The included breakfast was amazing, so much to choose from and the staff restocked it throughout the morning. There was an assortment of tea and coffee, juices, bread, baguette, croissants, jams, yoghurt, fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, crepes, hash browns, sausages etc.

The restaurant was excellent. Big thank you to Diane, who went out of her way to cater for our group which included a vegetarian and 4 who didn't eat fish or seafood. She arranged special meals for us every night which weren't on the menu even.

There was nothing we could fault here, besides maybe the expensive airport shuttle fee which cost us $500NZD for 4 people. They do have a boat shuttle which is free at set times each day.

I would highly recommend staying here to anyone!!

Thank you Tikehau Pearl Beach for making our stay in Tikehau memorable, we hope to be back one day!

Room tip: OWB #2 - close water access, close to reception for in room wifi, wasn't noisy. Looks out over lagoon, best snorkelling underneath

2nd time here... the resort is a refreshing getaway from the hustle and bustle of the "frantic" pace of Tahiti and Bora Bora. Service was immaculate, and the room was very comfortable.

Raipuni is a wonderful host and goes above and beyond in making sure you are taken care of! And... he sure does great vocals!!

A big thank you to Raipuni... and also to all the staff who made for yet another great experience. Will be back a third time!

We had six nights here and enjoyed it on the whole. The location was very quiet and our beach bungalow was a good size, with a very comfortable bed and sunloungers out on our deck (together with some beach “chairs” on the beach itself). We had direct access onto the beach and were facing the sunset (when there was one, some were pretty impressive). The snorkelling wasn’t at all bad, though at times there were very strong currents near the water bungalows near reception and access to the water in that area wasn’t 100% straightforward. We went on one snorkelling trip and were delighted to see manta rays but the rest of the trip was very disappointing as the snorkelers were with divers and the locations of stops were for them, over quite deep water, rather than close to the coral as we’d hoped.

Service in the restaurant was rather variable but the food was, on the whole, quite good (we were on half board) and great if you like raw fish (and I do). At breakfast things weren’t replenished very quickly but we became accustomed to that. There didn’t seem to be anything light for lunch (so we skipped that most days). No drinking water was provided in the room - apart from in the minibar so it all had to be paid for, which was a shame.

Wifi was very slow and only available in the reception/bar/restaurant area but then going somewhere remote means a “digital detox” is the order of the day. The room actually had a good number of charging points.

So we had somewhat mixed feelings about the place and probably wouldn’t go back but I was glad of the chance to see an island (or at least a motu) in this part of French Polynesia.

Thank you very much for your kind message.
We are happy to read that overall, you enjoyed your stay with us.
Kindly note that since, the internet availability is back to normal (but still high speed wifi does not exist in the area). Also the water is drinkable in rooms.
Thank you again for the points mentionned, these are very important to us in order to improve our quality of service.

It's a magnificent place, the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive and I dream of going back every day!
The way it's setup is very smart as even when the hotel is full, is seems empty and you always get that feeling of intimacy.

This place is an amazing place to spend a few days and feel totally disconnected from the outside world.
The staff makes you feel welcome and like home. Humble and genuine.
The location is beautiful and bungalows are nice.
Go there if you like diving, snorkeling, watching the blue lagoon and the sunset
It is far away but I would love to go back one day
On my top 10 of the most beautiful places on the planet
Bungalow 23 on the beach is a very good pick :-)
