The St Regis truly made our trip to Bora Bora complete.
Everything was perfect from pick up at the airport to drop off. Everyone goes above and beyond to help. The butler service is great, even though we didn't use it much, thanks Hiroko you are a beautiful girl with a great smile. Thank you St Regis for our 23rd wedding anniversary cake we found waiting for us in our room and the coffee machine was so good as we are big espresso drinkers.
We were in room 329 the 3rd bungalow from the beach and location was brilliant as we could walk to everything morning day and night. The St Regis grounds are fantastic and always in top condition, the views from the spa area are breathtaking, we used to spend every afternoon relaxing on the hammock.

FOOD:
Breakfast was great but was never alternated over the 5 days we were there
Lagoon restaurant was great
Sushi Take was also great
Far Niente was our worst, the food was terrible not italian at all.

Overall I believe St Regis made our experience of Bora Bora complete, we absolutely loved every minute of it.

It's hard to add to any of the previous reviewer's comments but I feel I must take the time to confirm that the St Regis Bora Bora is exceptional. We had six nights there for our honeymoon and everything was perfect. We were greeted at the airport by name, our bags taken care of while we did check in whilst on the boat. Upon arriving at the property, offered fresh towels and a juice, and introduced to our butler, Sebastian. Sebastian was an excellent butler, ensuring all our needs were taken care of, dinners were booked, transport to appropriate places organised and hotel facilities understood. Nothing was too much trouble for him.

We stayed in a superior overwater bungalow, non-mountain facing. It was huge, lovely and we didn't miss the mountain view at all. In fact, we felt the beach view was probably a little more private as the main boat traffic to/from the resort was on the mountain side of the resort. We were quite entertained watching other people partake in water activities on our side. You really can't go wrong with either side. We swam and snorkelled all around our bungalow, with fish found directly underneath and all around. The beach at the resort is beautiful and has complimentary stand up paddleboarding, canoeing, water bikes and wind surfers for guests to use. We never had any problems getting a sun lounge and the beach boys tend to your every need. They also provide snorkelling equipment free for your stay.

Breakfast was included and more than sufficient for us with selection of eggs, omlettes, crepes and waffles made to order included. We also ate at the main restaurant (where the buffet breakfast is) and while choice is limited, as one would expect, the food was very tasty. Our favourite resort restaurant was the Lagoon by Jean-George, absolutely delicious. The Japanese restaurant was also very good, with the Italian being our least favourite.

The concierge was very helpful in organising our full day shark & ray tour, which we'd highly recommend - a must do really, and our jet ski tour, which was fabulous fun, undertaken on very new jet skis (20-25 hours only on the three seater machines). We also visited the spa a few times, which was very relaxing. Surrounding the spa is the lagoonarium, which is fabulous to snorkel in with all the fish in it. The resort also does fish feeding and shark feeding sessions at the lagoonarium and the Lagoon restaurant respectively, which were informative.

As others have said, the food & drink in Bora Bora (not just the St Regis) is expensive but as long as you expect that, you just roll with it and enjoy the beautiful location that is Bora Bora.

We are already talking about how soon we can get back to the St Regis Bora Bora to celebrate wedding anniversaries, it was that good. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Heaven.

Room Tip: They're all fantastic! Mountain view rooms get more boat traffic going past but arguably better...

There is really nothing to be said that a million other reviewers haven't already said....this place is amazing. This was our 2nd time to Bora Bora, and our first stay was at what is now the Hilton Bora Bora Nui. We had eaten at the St. Regis on our first trip, and it was just a stunning property....so we were drawn to it upon our return. Everything was amazing! We arrived to a nice tour of the property via golf cart given by our butler, and we checked into our breathtaking overwater bungalow. We were not facing Otemanu, but I have to say our view of the "bay" behind the resort was still nothing less than spectacular. The bungalows are enormous and very posh. One difference between the Hilton and the St. Regis is that there is nothing to see swimming in the water by your bungalow. At the Hilton, you could get in the water right at your ladder and snorkel around with coral and giant clams. We had fish and all kinds of sea life around our bungalow. At the St. Regis, it's beautiful blue water under your bungalow, but I think we saw one ray the entire time and nothing else. I guess the coral still needs time to grow after the construction, since it's a newer resort. We knew this going in, and it was probably the only downside to our entire stay (which isn't saying much).

The food was awesome - the breakfast buffet never got old. We had nutella crepes every morning - our favorite! The fresh fruit juice was always a surprise, and the staff were so friendly and called us by name every day. The lunches and dinners were always delicious too, and the bar staff in particular were so friendly and accommodating.

We split our stay between the overwater bungalow and the beach pool villa. It was kind of fun to spend a few nights in the pool villa, which is on a different side of the resort by the spa, and you had your own private plunge pool. It's the exact same room as the overwater bungalow, but just on land. It made things interesting having a little variety, since you do tend to see a lot of the property over and over since you're on an island and can't go places very easily. :-) The other nice thing is they'll pack you up and move you, and they let you know when your new room is ready. We changed rooms while we were out scuba diving!

Wonderful stay - thank you for an incredible time!

Room Tip: Try the pool beach villa for a night or 2

Thank you for sharing your feedback on your recent stay at The St. Regis Bora Bora Resort !
We are spoiled by your kind words and more than happy that you enjoyed our Resort, restaurants, your two villas, and our friendly associates !
We hope that you have been able to snorkel in our Lagoonarium (a dedicated snorkeling area extended all aroung the Miri Miri Spa by Clarins) and met with Maeva, our 3.5ft long (Adored Baby) Napoleon fish ! We are sad that you didn't get to see the school of Leopard rays living underneath the overwater villas nor any balloon or string fish !
We hope that you are doing more than great now and that life has many wonderful things covered for you. Otherwise, you can only be sure that our arms and heart have remained open for you and we hope to be able to welcome you again some day !

One of the 3 Islands we visited. St Regis bora bora was the most opulent. Fantastic food, friendly service, amazingly beautiful rooms and resorts everything you'd expect from a st Regis. The lagoon is an amazing and intelligent addition to the resort. Breakfast offers a superb plethora of dishes. The only negative for us, was that it didn't feel as comfortable atmospherically as the other island resorts we visited. It's also pretty pricey, but I'd say its worth the £££££!

Room Tip: Bungalow, not garden villas

There is second class, first class and then there is “St. Regis Class”. We have been fortunate enough to travel a fair amount, but the St. Regis Bora Bora surpasses anything we have ever experienced! The staff are exceptional. They are well-trained, polished, worldly, and attentive to every detail to the degree that most remember your name.

Our butler (left her name out for privacy reasons) tended to our every need. Constantly checking on how our stay was going and providing us with reminders for events of the day. She booked our dinners, organized our transportation and tours. Upon arrival to our room we found a chilled bottle of champagne and pastries awaiting us. On the second day, our butler had had delivered a lovely cheese plate and chocolate cake for our 25th anniversary.

St. Regis offers a boat shuttle to the island and then a bus to the town of Vaitape. Everything is looked after. We went a few times to the town (pearl shopping!) and to dinner a couple of nights. On our way back from dinner the hotel called the bus to ensure we were on it! No worries.

We stayed in one of the over water suites. They are VERY large and magnificently finished. Just beautiful. Words can not describe how well done the suite is. On the deck we had a view of the mountain which was spectacular. The deck also offers a nice covered area with a table if you want to get out of the sun and enjoy a cold drink (Hinano time!).

Of course you can swim and snorkel off of the deck and then rinse off under the shower outside.

The only mistake we made was leaving two nights to go for dinner on the island. Yes it was nice to try the local restaurants but honestly the food and the value was best right on the Hotel grounds. We had fantastic breakfasts - complete with a self serve bloody Mary station.

The restaurant and bar food was delicious! The portions were generous. There were many affordable, fine wines to choose from. We often found ourselves sharing our menu selections, not because of the cost, but because we had more then enough fabulous food to eat. The wait staff were true service professionals. ALWAYS attentive and friendly.

We had booked this trip through Pacific For Less. Ask for Jennifer. She did a fantastic job in arranging everything for us. We HIGHLY recommend that you Pacific For Less to organize and book your trip. We researched a lot and they were the best value and service.

Everything was coordinated with the hotel. The hotel ensured that we were pick up and ready for this excursion. For example, a highlight was the complimentary stingray and shark excursion. No denying that we were apprehensive and nervous about partaking in an activity that was so far out of our comfort zone, but once the boat anchored my wife was the second person off the boat and WOW WHAT A BLAST she HAD!!! Swimming with the sharks and rays was amazing. The rays were swimming all over her body. Our guide was fantastic (and his wife). Very gregarious and entertaining; helping her off the boat, taking her hand and making her feel at ease in the water with the sharks and rays.

When we got back, our butler called us checking in and asked about the trip we just had.

On the day of check out our flight was later in the day. They moved us into a beach bungalow for the day as other guests were coming in. I have to tell you, if I was going to do this again I might just choose the beach bungalow. They are out of this world. Our unit had a pool a big lot with our own beach. There was even a private out door shower.

What this says to me is that there is no part or accommodation of the St Regis that would disappoint you.

If you have any doubts - don't. Just book into the St. Regis. We absolutely guarantee you will not be disappointed. It should be the number one hotel on Tripadvisor!

Room Tip: If you haven't yet stayed in an over water suite and really want to this is a fantastic place to...

My husband and I spent a week at St. Regis Bora Bora in November. The only reason I have delayed in writing a review is because I really don't have the words to explain how amazing it is. Everything was perfect. We had a premier overwater bungalow overlooking the mountain and it was worth every penny. We spent every evening relaxing in the "hot" tub with a glass of wine just enjoying God's creation. We enjoyed the food very much, especially Lagoon-- we actually preferred it to Villa Mahana. I am a vegetarian and, after telling the server at the pool restaurant the first day, each meal I was immediately presented with a vegetarian menu without asking. We did not do many activities as this was our first trip away from our young children and we just wanted to relax-- and there is no better place on earth for that! We did visit the spa, which was very nice but not overwhelming. Our favorite thing to do was swim out behind the bungalow and to use the paddle boards around the resort. We debated forever between the Four Seasons and St. Regis-- we never had need to go over to the Four Seasons so I have no first hand knowledge, but I can say that we do not regret for a second our decision to stay at the St. Regis. Our trip could not have been more perfect or more amazing. Before we left I was strangely nervous that it would turn out to have been overrated, but those concerns were entirely unwarranted. It was absolute paradise, made even more heavenly by the phenomenal staff. We can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: The mountain view is amazing. Definitely worth the extra cost. We had a premier bungalow and enjoy...

Just returned from a luxury vacation on Bora Bora at the St. Regis. Tahiti Travel Planners put together the perfect trip that exceeded our expectations. Ask for Samantha. The beaches were incredible. The activities superb. The staff were kind, courteous, helpful, responsive....always there and willing to help. Top Dive is an excellent diving center that caters to all levels of divers, but does an exceptional job with the less experienced divers. Take the time just to be there. Get to know the people. They see many tourists, but are so helpful once you break through the surface. There is no place better than a Tahiti and it's islands.
