I stayed here for my honeymoon on March 2012. The resort has awesome customer service, and check in was performed on the boat to the resort. March is during the rainy season, so it rained for 5 days straight but only during the night in short increments. There is nothing to complain about, but try to stay away from the inner pool in the middle of the resort as there are mosquitoes.

First of all let me start of by saying this resort is incredible from the time we stepped of the boat until we stepped back on it for departure. Our 7 night stayed started at the Hilton in Moorea which I also left a review for.

Upon Arrival we were greeted at the boat dock with wet towels and drink which was much needed after our long flight. Check in was very quick we were then loaded up on a golf cart and taken to our room/ bungalow for the next 5 nights. When we walked in the bungalow, I was speechless the pictures do not do this place justice. The view from the deck was one of the best views I've seen and we have traveled many places of the last few years. They were spacious the a bathrooms were very nice I love having room when trying to get ready.. LOL!!

We did take advantage of the meal plan while we were there. It worked out very well. Maybe even saved us some money, The Breakfast buffet in the morning was great and there were many great options at night for dinner. Try to be up for sunrise one morning while your there.

A must do while you are there is swimming with the Stingrays and sharks it was a great adventure Moana adventures were very professional and worth ever penny.

Lastly, I would like to say thanks to Brandi at Dream by Dream Travels we could have never booked this with out her. She took time and answered all of our questions, and after pricing a few other agencies she came in cheaper than everyone else. We were surprised with the Free Upgrade at both resorts and the Canoe Breakfast was a nice and surprising touch. We will use Dream by dream travels again on future trips

This is the destination of your life,
I've never seen such a place, never tasted such a nice food, and never met such a great service.
St Regis, is located at the nicest place/beach/lagoon of the Island. The rooms (we ve tried a bungalow on the lagoon and a ocean villa) are huges, well decorated with taste and the bathrooms are just wonderful.
The breakfast (the buffet) is amazing, large choice and fresh food.
We were impressed by the service and the kindness of the managers. We kept a great memory from Mr Taillepied and from Steven the bar Manager.

We decided to go to Bora Bora for our honeymoon and researched several travel agencies. We chose Pacific For Less because of the great reviews and also after corresponding with Claudia via email and a phone call, I felt she had the most knowledge and connections. She got us upgraded to a Premium OWB from a Deluxe OWB and included the shark/ray tour (which I'll get to later) and reservations at a few restaurants. Little did I know how great of a job Claudia did until we actually got to Bora Bora. We got an amazing premium bungalow (107) that was easy walking to the restaurants and main dock and was equally close to the Oasis pool where you could get water, towels, etc. The view of the main island was amazing. The service was great and they treated you like royalty from the minute you arrive till you leave. They greeted us with leis and led us to the business center where they had food and drinks waiting for us. Our rooms weren't ready yet but we could use the spa or hang out at the pool/beach until they were ready. We got into our room around 12:30pm which was earlier than others. We had reservations for the Lagoon restaurant that evening and we had the best table at the restaurant reserved for us. I'm not sure if its Claudia's connections there but all our restaurant reservations were VIP and we had the best table everywhere we ate at. When we went to La Villa Mahana later in the week, we had the VIP table at the top of the restaurant all to ourselves while everyone else had to eat in the main dining room at the bottom. We felt extra special.

We highly recommend the Shark/Ray tour and I would say it was a highlight of ours. We swam with manta rays first which was amazing. Then we went to a coral reef where there were tons of fish and we saw a very large eel! Then we went to see reef sharks. They threw fish in the water and there were tons of sharks in seconds. Then we jumped in with them! Crazy. But the craziest thing was we went out of the lagoon and they said there were large lemon sharks. We jumped in and were swimming with 10 foot sharks just feet away from us. I'm not sure if this would be possible in the U.S. with all the legal ramifications (no cages, nothing between us and the giant sharks). Thinking back, it was a little crazy. But an experience of a lifetime. A must do!

Anyway, back to the hotel. The St. Regis was top notch and was by far the nicest of the resorts on the island. Our favorite restaurant was actually Sushi Take in the St. Regis. There is several restaurants including a bar with food service, all pretty good. You don't have to leave the resort for food. We did eat at La Villa Mahana but other than that we ate at St. Regis. Breakfast was included every morning and it had enough variety to satisfy us. We ate our fill every morning and just snacked for lunch. Food is extremely expensive in Bora Bora and after a while, we stopped trying to figure out how much we were paying. We never converted any US money to francs while there as we just used our credit card for everything. Although tipping is not expected, we also tipped as the service was always so good, I would have felt bad not doing so. But be prepared for the prices. We don't drink alcohol so we ordered just still water with our meals. Well, I didn't realize but they charged us for the still water. One night it was 40.00 for the water! Sandwiches ran around 30.00 at the bar, dinners ran around 150-200/couple without alcohol.

We got a late check out which was awesome so we were able to hang out in our bungalow until 4:30pm and then they came and got our bags and took us to the dock. When we got on the boat to leave the resort, several of the workers waved goodbye and gave us another shell lei. They kept waving until we were several hundred yards from the dock!

Overall, best trip ever. The water there is crystal clear like a giant swimming pool. I lived in Hawaii for several years and the water here was no comparison. Paradise does still exist.

Room Tip: Definitely get a room facing the island. Not only for the view but it seemed like the lagoon facing...

We booked our honeymoon with Claudia at Pacific for Less six months in advance and she was able to get us an amazing room upgrade from a Deluxe Overwater Villa to a Premier Overwater Villa with an island/volcano facing view.

After 4 nights in Moorea to start off our honeymoon, we thought we might have been desensitized a bit and that the beauty and magic of Bora Bora would not awestruck us. After being picked up by a nice luxury boat at the airport by St. Regis staff members, welcomed at the St. Regis dock by St. Regis butlers with a warm towel and soothing tea, and walking into our Premier Overwater Bungalow, we were beyond amazed by the hotel, the room, the ocean water, the million dollar views and the St. Regis service.

St. Regis as a 5-star hotel was amazing and beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Amenities were abundant. They had their own private lagoonarium for swimming and snorkeling with all kinds of fish. The private beach was nice and spacious with lots of free water activities like stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, and snorkeling. The breakfast buffet which was included for us every morning was very nice and with a good spread. Unlike Moorea, hot and iced lattes were included at no extra charge. Bike rentals were free and easy as you just go grab one from the bike rack and ride around the property to your hearts content. There was a little convenience store there where we bought liter cartons of mango juice to mix with the Malibu rum that we brought with us from the LAX Duty Free shop. Near the front desk was a nice quiet lounge like room with a pool table, 3 internet connected PCs and a library of books. This is where we went sometimes to research restaurants and excursions online.

With meal prices being super high at the hotel restaurants, we decided to be adventurous and book a free St. Regis boat taxi and dinner reservations at a local restaurant on the island each night. We loved La Villa Mahana, St. James, Bloody Mary's and The Bounty. All the restaurants were really tasty and cheaper (except for La Village Mahana) than eating at the hotel. We did however eat that The Lagoon restaurant at St. Regis one night. It was high end, the service was top notch and the food was wonderful. You can even watch through the glass floor, black tip sharks swimming beneath you as you dine.

The only thing that wasn't as good as the Moorea Hilton was that there really wasn't much coral or fish in the water just outside the overwater bungalows. While the water was a beautiful shade of blue, there wasn't much to see when diving and snorkeling off your bungalow deck.

The St. Regis Premier Overwater bungalow was huge. It was bigger than a typical 1-bedroom apartment in LA. Huge living room with a glass window on the floor where you could watch the blue ocean water. The bathroom was luxurious with dual vanities, a rainfall shower, a spa tub, and a walk-in closet. We had a jetted tub on our outside deck which was nice but it's not a "hot tub" with hot water.

This was such a magical, memorable, and special vacation for us. It's a once in a lifetime honeymoon spent at a once in a lifetime hotel. We have such fond memories and would love to make it back there again one day in the future for an anniversary trip. At the St. Regis, you get what you pay for and what you pay for is 5-stars.

Thanks again to Claudia at Pacific For Less for helping us get the amazing room upgrade. Their booking and planning of the hotel, advance dinner reservations, and advance excursion reservations all went as planned without any issues.

I am at St.Regis as I'm writing this review. I'm on my honeymoon here and I absolutely love it here. Bora Bora island is the most beautiful place I ever been to and trust me I'm very well traveled person. Every view, no matter which way you look is postcard worthy. Service here is mind blowing. Our butler Sebastian is the MAN!!! He's like a superhero. I have to say it's very expensive here but so worth it. I would give everything to stay here one more week but my husband has to go back to work;(
I will defiantly try to come back here once we get back on our feet after this trip.

The title of this review was the slogan we noticed on the back of a St. Regis Bora Bora folder. We had just finished our lunch at the Lagoon by Jean Georges, which followed a cooking class. The cooking class was excellent and definitely one of the top hotel experiences we've ever had. Chef Antoine is so gracious to share his skills and it is a rare opportunity to be behind the scenes of such a great restaurant with the people who make it so great. The kitchen was set as if we would eat there, complete with a tablecloth, several wine selections, and place settings. The setting was nice, but the cooking made the experience. We made an appetizer and main course, to include filleting the ahi tuna! After preparing the meal, they guided us to the empty main dining room so they could finish the cooking while we enjoyed wine and excitedly discussed what we had learned. What a great time and incredible meal.

When you plan a trip to Bora Bora, you expect beautiful scenery. I must admit, while my wife and I were on the boat en route to the hotel I said it must be more dramatic arriving from somewhere other than Hawaii. I continued to eat my words after saying that. Every view, every gaze, every moment is paradise. The physical beauty is unlike anything I have seen and we continue to describe blues in terms of the water depth in the lagoon.

What you don't expect, or can't fully comprehend, is the hospitality you will receive. The experience at St. Regis Bora Bora will be hard to even match, not to mention surpass. Everyone you meet will greet you with a smile and "Ia Orana," the Polynesian greeting. Although everyone we had the opportunity to meet was great, Lauren, a waitress, and Guillaume, the sommelier, were true pleasures to be around. They were complete professionals and passionate in the food and wine. My wife and I have discussed returning solely to see these two wonderful individuals.

A stay at the St. Regis Bora Bora will be wonderful. No matter the occasion, the physical beauty, wonderful food, and most importantly, the top notch staff will ensure your stay is a memorable one.

Room Tip: We enjoyed a premier overwater villa facing Mt. Otemanu. The main difference seemed to be a separat...
