I have to add some nice words to the list of excellent reviews this resort has gathered. came here with my family (wife and kids ages 9 and 13). was a little concerned about the family vacationing in a traditionally "romantic" area .... but we had a fantastic time! service was top notch starting with our greeting and immediate recognition of Ambassador status from Chris. Concierge service was attentive and helpful. Room was spectacular (#120) with views of Mt. Otemanu and the lagoon out of this world. we were on a half board plan which worked out extremely well -- food and activities are certainly not cheap, but not unexpected. we parasailed, we took out a private boat for a morning, we saw more sharks and rays than I could ever imagine, and we took bikes out around the island. our kids were welcomed everywhere, and treats and gifts magically appeared each afternoon in our room :)
the resort staff even set up a tropical Easter Egg hunt for all the kids staying at the resort with baskets made from palm fronds.

we'll remember Bora Bora as an incredible destination -- I would recommend this resort without reservations .... Thanks!

Room Tip: Room 120 was excellent!!

Where to begin??! From the moment we stepped on to the resort, we were treated like royalty. The employees that greet you and take you on your personal tour of the resort were fantastic. We were taken to our villa over the water and it was everything we could of asked for and more. The views, the water, the people made in seem like a dream come true.
We found every employee we met was kind, helpful, funny and beautiful. Some were very special, Eric, "our bartender" was the best. His stories made every night a special treat. We always tried his drink of the day and enjoyed our chats at his bar. Also Stephon our waiter in the Reef Resturant made us feel so special.
We enjoyed our stay completely. Thank you InterContinental Thalasso for a vacation beyond belief

Room Tip: We were in room 226. View was fantastic.

We loved our stay at the InterContinental Thalasso Resort and Spa, which has a majestic view of Mount Otemanu, not to mention dazzingly blue waters.

We booked our honeymoon through Pacific for Less, whom we highly recommend. They gave us a complimentary Motu Tapu Lagoon Snorkel Tour & Shark/Ray experience through Raanui Tours, which turned out to a highlight of our trip, especially since IC Thalasso isn't located in prime snorkeling areas. Pacific for Less also provided great cost-saving recommendations during our planning process, such as "half board". Generous buffet breakfast and dinners were included in the package so we didn’t go hungry or broke.

One minor hiccup: There was no lighting for a few wooden steps at the InterContinental resort, so I fell and sprained my ankle on the penultimate night. A manager and bartender immediately rushed over to give me ice and ordered a club car to transport me to our bungalow. We were grateful that they installed lights on the steps on the day we left Bora Bora, but we were a little surprised that they didn’t apologize or offer to make amends by giving us free drinks or something.

The resort staff were extremely gracious and kind, particularly Vaetua at concierge, who drove us by club car to show us the stunning wedding chapel since my ankle was in pain, and Frédéric Peue, who entertainingly taught us how to weave hats and bags out of coconut leaves. We enjoyed the daily noon demonstrations and sting ray feedings at 2 pm, as well as beautiful acoustic music played by talented musicians on the beach. The InterContinental staff thoughtfully gave us honeymooners a bottle of champagne, macaroons, a pareo, and bracelets, as well as a daily packet of fish food to feed the fish swimming underneath our overwater bungalow’s coffee table.

Thank you for an unforgettable honeymoon!

Dear Stéphanie, Ia Orana from Bora Bora

InterContinental Hotels thank you very much for your nice feedback.

Very pleased to learn that you enjoyed your stay with us.

I personally shared your review with all my team at our morning meeting. It is their genuine enjoyment of their work day in and day out that makes for such sincere service.

As I read, you had the joy to feed the stingrays with our poolboys. It is an activity that our guests love. They take great pleasure to be part of such experience.

We are very sorry to hear of the inconvenience you experienced during your stay. However we appreciate your feedback, as it allows us the opportunity to review the occurrences in an effort to improve the guest experience.

We trust you had a safe and comfortable trip back home.

Thank you again and we hope to welcome you back to beautiful Bora Bora.

Just got back from a week in Bora Bora - Stayed in villa hut #211 and it was amazing! Great view of Mt. Otemanu! Loved the table in the villa that you could look through at the fish! Great advice on trip advisor to bring a raft and rope - spent lots of time just hanging out on the back deck, jumping in the crazy beautiful blue water and relaxing. Did some great trips - 2 hour jet ski around island, snorkeling with reef discovery and all day private snorkeling boat tour that included an amazing lunch on a private island! We had the best snorkeling of our lives - saw sting ray, swam with sharks, manta ray, and even an octopus! Took water taxi to Matira Beach for yummy sushi and to Bloody Mary's - more of a tourist place but food was great and fun atmosphere.
This bucket list trip was everything I hoped it would be!
We did have our kids with us (12 and 9) and the staff left sweet goodies/gifts in the room every night for them! Used all the free kayaks, stand up paddles, etc,
Advice - Pack less than you think - it is very casual here - mostly cover ups and bathing suits and shorts ans sundresses. Bring LOTS of lotion! Super strong sun and we had to buy more lotion at the store $$

Mauruuru roa for this mervellous feedback and for sharing your beautiful memories and advices on TripAdvisor.

We are thrilled to know you found the location excellent. We are facing the majestic Mount Otemanu and we think it is a great chance to have such a view.

The coffee table with the glass bottom which allows you to see the blue lagoon from your bungalow is a feature that guests love !

Also glad to read you had fun with the water activities we offer on the beach. It is always a pleasure with such a turquoise lagoon… As I read, you had the joy to feed the stingrays with our poolboys. It is an activity that our guests love. They take great pleasure to be part of such experience.

A once in a life time experience. The resort cocoons you in a world of beauty and luxury. The villa huts over the lagoon are perfectly equipped with everything you could want. They also come with the added features of a glass topped coffee table t watch the sea life swim beneath your hut, and a private balcony and jetty over the lagoon to allow you complete privacy to sun bath and swim.

The staff go out of their way to accommodate your every wish. They make you feel special every day, in every interaction with them.

The lagoon waters are crystal clear, and the colours range from a pale blue to the most brilliant turquoise, dependent on the light t the time. The lagoon is perfectly safe to swim in, and there is no better way to start your day, than a swim off your own private jetty. And if you don't want to swim in the lagoon, then there is always the infinity pool at the resort.

Pure indulgence and pure luxury.
