Excellent sushi and we loved that there was a separate play room for young children. We had our seven and four year olds with us and this really helped make our dinner enjoyable!

The view was great but the service was slow and lame. We chose a table but the wAiter said it was a table for 3, we were 2, but the place was empty. He continued being very slow and we had to flag him down to take our order after sitting there to rot for 20 minutes. The good was ok, not worth the price at all. We came here via jetski as per the suggestion of out butler at St. Regis. The only nice thing was the location. I'm suprised this place got such reviews.

We were staying at the Intercontinental hotel and decided to wander out of the hotel for lunch. An easy walk found us at the Matira Beach Restaurant. We had a table right by the water, and had an excellent fish sandwich with a Hinano for a reasonable price for Bora Bora.
They also offered a limited sushi menu for lunch as well. Overall a nice change of scenery from the hotel dining.

Last night we had a superb meal at Matira Beach Restaurant-- just down the white sand from the now closed (so sadly) Hotel Bora Bora. We were pressed for time, sadly, but found the wait staff to be responsive, pleasant, and competent, if overextended.

The Hawaiian Ahi Poke appetizer was so fresh, tender, perfectly flavored-- delightful! We both had the stunningly incredible mahi mahi with a fabulously delicious tahitian vanilla sauce. My ratatouille was the best I've ever had! Hurrying to catch our boat to the hotel, we skipped what would've been, no doubt, a great dessert.

We will return right away!

The review states 2013, but it is in fact 2008.

The restaurant was already amazing at the time, and the best thing to eat is of course the Tahitian Tuna Salad with either French fries or a fresh baguette.
The view of course takes anyone's breath away!! Being able to walk in the lagoon, even swim with grey rays, or even some of the shy neighbors: the black tip reef shark.

Best thing to drink: Hinano Beer!! What else... :)
