“HORRIBLE poolside service”
Reviewed April 14, 2014

Excellent hotel, but absolutely destroyed by the service received at the pool bar. No food/ beverage service offered to the pool area so literally 1-2 hours a day was spent waiting for a simple bottle of water to snacks and/or drinks.

We stayed here in March 2012. It was superb. We stayed 3 nights in a hillside villa & 3 nights overwater both had their benefits. The grounds & rooms were immaculate, nothing to be faulted. I had the most wonderful massage I've had in my life. We had buffet breakfasts each morning that were superb. The restaurant meals were expensive & somewhat disappointing, we tried both restaurants in the resort. We took several of the guided activities all were immense fun especially the reef experience, swimming with sharks & being 'kissed & cuddled' by Rays~ unforgettable. A highlight was the boat ride being serenaded with islander versions of Elvis songs under the mystical shadow of the Bora Bora Mountain.

Room Tip: Choose hillside or over water, apparently garden villas are hot. We travelled March 2012 but...

This resort had excellent grounds. It is on very nice part of the lagoon with huge black rocks to the south. The water depth around the resort is mostly at the 2 to 5 meter mark so the water has that deep neon blue colour. We only stayed 1 night in a bungalow, it was set back from the beach in an area with lush grass and coconut trees. The bungalow was HUGE, seemed a bit excessive in fact, but I can't really complain about that. The breakfast was MASSIVE, there was almost everything you could want. We snorkeled the black rock beach which was ok but was a bit shallow, im sure there would be better spots off the OWBs. Food was on the expensive side but they do have a regular boat to Vaitape for a fee.

This was a great way to finish our vacation! We spent 5 nights at the Hilton Resort in Moorea and then 5 nights at the Hilton Bora Bora Nui and had a great experience at both places. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We did feel like the Hilton Bora Bora was a little more rustic and needing some updates than in Moorea but it was a much larger resort and seemed like the bungalows were bigger than in Moorea. The fitness center also needed some updates they had alot of old equipment, there was a large room for the fitness center but not much equipment to choose from and it all needed updating. Also the resort has 3 different restuarants but they are all very expensive its less expensive to take the boat shuttle into the main island and eat somewhere there then to eat at the resort. Also the snokeling around this resort is not as good you really have to get further out on the other side of the over water bungalows to see some fish so I would highly recommend to take a snorkeling excursion on this island to see all the beautiful tropical fish this island has to offer.

We started our trip in Moorea Hilton and were very delighted with the beautiful water bunglows.Much nicer than Moorea . That is where it ends. Breakfast buffet was mostly for Japanese guests. Did not care for the cereal bar. The dining rooms are full of cats roaming around and jumping over the tables. NOT GOOD .

We stayed at this hotel for 8 days and had a marvelous experience. The entire staff was very friendly and polite with no exception. The over water bungalows are superb and with great views. We ate at all three (3) restaurants, the menu selection was great and the quality of food was excellent. We have traveled to many locations around the world, including Bali, Mauritius and Costa Rica and find this resort one of the best. We truly appreciate the General Manager's attention to detail at the Hilton Bora Bora Nui.

This is like a dream come true. On March 2012, my wife and I spent our honeymoon in this paradise. We highle recommend this amazing place for honeymooners. As a tip, we did our trip as follows: First we were at Pappete, Tahiti. Then we sepent some days at Moorea. And finally we finish in Bora Bora.

Room Tip: Rooms with Bungalow Overwater are the Best!
