“Honeymoon one issue”
Reviewed December 24, 2013 via mobile

Our first stop on our honeymoon was the Hilton Moorea and we fell in love with that resort loved the snorkeling there. Hilton Bora Bora
only complaint was we felt the were under staffed especially in the restaurants. Waitresses running their butts off and staff didn't seem as friendly or willing to help or even interested being there. Beautiful resort. Good food.

Please be assured that your comments have been shared with our team.

We spent 2 nights there as part of a longer stay split between resorts in Bora Bora.
The Hilton is a very pretty resort on a not-so-flat motu (island within the lagoon). You have a choice between overwater villas, some of which are huge, garden ones on a hilly terrain or in a main building. The only thing that might be considered beforehand is that there is no view on the famous Otemanu mountain, however the water there is clearer than anywhere else in Bora Bora, and the grounds are less monotonous than other resorts. One of the highlights of the Hilton Bora Bora are the exquisite tables, Polynesian restaurant and French restaurant, both requiring booking, with absolutely delicious food and refined presentation, and also the restaurant itself is an impressive high-roof wooden building that is really beautiful, both in tune with the place and very elegant. The other highlight is a very relaxed, laid-back atmosphere and friendly staff, though the place is quite on the posh side of course. All in all, we didn't plan this stay as we had to add days at the last minute, so ended up at the Hilton without really choosing to stay there, but it was an amazing surprise and we're now willing to return some day.

We have stayed in many many Hilton's around the world and Hilton Bora Bora far exceeded our expectations. If we could rate you a 10 out of 5 we would. Where do we start - Mmmmm. The resort is Devine. Pristine gardens, beaches, villas and the most Devine swimming pool we have ever swum in. The staff are exceptional. To Nicki at breakfast, Marie at reception, Sarah in the French restaurant and the boys who made our visit to Motu Tapu a memory that will last forever, a very big thankyou. And of course a massive thankyou to the best resort manager we have ever had the pleasure of meeting - Jean. Your interaction with the guests is forever memorable. If you are coming to this resort, the Motu Tapu lobster lunch is to die for. A definite must. The food in all the restaurants is absolutely amazing - fine dining at its best. Yum. We travel often and this resort is one that we will most def return to. Incredible. We will leave footprints in the sand and take away some amazing memories. Thank you Hilton Bora Bora.

Room Tip: Definitely an over water bungalow. Near the lagoon if you can, less current there and more opportuni...

Thank you very much for your review! We are very pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay at the Hilton Bora Bora Nui Resort & Spa!

We are indeed pleased that you appreciated the quality of service offered by Sarah at the Iriatai Restaurant, Nicky at the Tamure, Maire at the Front Desk and by my twins working at the Pool, Tini, Anapa, Tapu and Olivier.

Thank you as well for mentioning the amazing time you experienced at Motu Tapu! "The Day in Paradise", with its lunch served "the feet in the lagoon" is just incredible. Vaea, the Motu Tapu Manager and her team, Yoyo and François are always keen on ensuring that you leave with a memorable experience.

Again, thank you for your comments! We look forward to the pleasure of welcoming you back in the near future!

Bora Bora is Paradise. From the moment you land at the airport, you are greeted by a Hilton Employee to assist you with bags and transportation to the Hotel. We had our travel agent request an early check in and to reserve us a specific hut over the water which was not a guarantee, but it was available when we got there at 10am. The General Manager also came greeted us when we arrived and took photos for us. He really made everyone feel welcome. The service from the staff was excellent and very polite. We stayed in a hut over the water and our rooms were very clean and air conditioned. The view from every location on the island was beautiful. Every Tuesday evenings, the hotel puts on a luau with dancers and live music. If you do eat the hotel restaurant, I would recommend the French menu.

Everything was amazing! The staff service was impeccable, the deluxe overwater bungalow: bed, bathroom (massive shower and very modern). Our balcony was perfect to dive straight into the water. The range of activities to do was huge but was optional and totally up to us to do as little or as much as we wanted. Would definitely come back if the opportunity ever rises. And we would definitely recommend this property without a doubt!

Thank you for your great review!

Very pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay at our Resort!

You are definitely right....One of the pleasure and luxury of Bora Bora is that you can enjoy doing........nothing! and feel good about it! or you can alternate one of the numerous activities available with a nap on the sun deck of your villa!

One of my personal favorite is activity to spend a Day in Paradise at Motu Tapu! Snorkeling in the shallow water and enjoying a nice seafood platter while seating in the lagoon is an incredible experience!

I do hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back in the near future!

We stayed here for 2 nights for our anniversary trip. Overall it was a great stay.

For the room, we had the deluxe overwater villa - #109. I think it's probably one of the best views. It's pretty secluded and has amazing unobstructed ocean & sunset views.

In terms of food, we had all our meals at the hotel restaurants, except one lunch. Being diamond member, we had the free continental breakfast. It's a lot of food and included plenty of hot food selections as well. (The only thing not available is the American hot breakfast selections like omelette station, sausage etc.) We didn't think it's necessary to upgrade to the full breakfast. We also tried all the other restaurants including room service. I like the Pad Thai and "Hilton burger"! The servers at all the restaurants were really attentive and provided excellent services.

The only negative was when we were departing -- the shuttle boat (direct to the airport) was late by 20 mins, which put us really tight with our flight. I would advice anyone to take the 700 xpf /person/way shuttle boat to the downtown pier, and then take the Air Tahiti's free shuttle. We did that for the way coming from the airport to the hotel (a lot cheaper than the direct airport to hotel boat). It was convenient. I was prepared to pay the higher fees for the direct because we have a big luggage. It turned out that they can take your luggage directly to the hotel for arrival (while you take the free Air Tahiti boat to downtown and then the cheaper shuttle from downtown to Hilton). I should have done the same for the return journey but was worried about taking the luggage onto the cheaper shuttle boat. It turned out it was the same size of boat for both the direct & the one to the downtown pier. At least on that day, the one to the downtown pier was on time.

This incident aside, I had a great stay at Hilton Bora Bora.

My husband and I stayed at the Hilton Bora Bora in one of the over-water bungalows for our honeymoon. We booked the entire trip through Tahiti Enterprises & Custom Tahiti Travel, which was a good move. They did a fantastic job of making the entire trip seamless. They even included a shark and ray tour that was out of this world. All in all, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this trip to others.

Room Tip: Deluxe bungalows have a better view. If you're going to pay this much for the experience, it'...
