Amazing wedding experience and stay!!

We got married at Le Meridien in October and the entire experience was fabulous. We had room 336 at the end of the Motu and it has one of the best views of Mount Otemanu. They picked us up from our room in a canoe decorated with flowers and brought us to the beach where a Tahitian priest and dancers gave us a spectacular show. The dancers changed outfits 4 times and had us dance with them.

They decorated our room after the wedding with fresh flowers and his and hers towels, and had wine and champagne on ice. They setup a table on the beach with candles for us for dinner.

We booked the all inclusive package that included food and drinks and definitely got our money’s worth. The food was excellent and in very large portions. I am gluten free and they were very accommodating and had lots of options, bringing me gluten free bread at every meal.

What really made the stay wonderful was the friendly and impeccable service. While everyone was great some notable people that made it extra special include our wedding coordinator Amelie, our amazing photographer Damien, the wait staff at the beach front restaurant Te Ava, Cathy, Mareva, Jean-Marie, at the bar Linda, Donata and all the Tahitian staff, and at the activity desk Mateo and his team. Thank you so much for making our stay unforgettable!

Beautiful and Tranquil, Bora Bora is absolutely a dream destination. You can relax beach side, pool side, or in your over water bungalow. You can book adventures if you want to stay busy. Bora Bora should be on everyones bucket list.

We booked through Costco which was a great decision because they arranged all of the transportation. From the PNW we took 3 flights and a boat ride just to get there. This was difficult for me to travel so far, but worth the once in a lifetime experience.

The lagoon here is gorgeous, with so many friendly and colorful fish swimming around, you snorkel with them and they come up to you for pictures, all in the safety of the lagoon- no rays or sharks. The turtle sanctuary is a great way to help our friends in the sea, the conservation talk was enriching and we got to feed some of the turtles. If you want to swim with the turtles book way ahead of time!

The food was tasty, but there are only a few options available. Be prepared for sea food and french cuisine, fresh and delicious. The traditional dinner is a must and very tasty. Feeding the fish of the lagoon from the restaurant was a lot of fun. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming, always smiling and waving. Who wouldn't love getting paid to work in paradise?

The bungalows are straight out of the magazines. Glass bottom floor, plenty of fish to view, swimming off of your deck, and we even had a view of Mt. Otemanu. The amenities inside are top notch as well, I enjoyed the soaking tub near slated windows so you can get a peekaboo view of the ocean while relaxing.

I had a massage while here and it was great, from start to finish you are well cared for and come out of it completely at ease, this was especially great after the long flights. My husband went snorkeling and loved swimming beside the Manta Rays!

We had to check out earlier than when our boat left for the main island, so the resort held our bags and they even have a full bathroom with showers for you so that you can hang by the beach or the pool and then shower before your travel home. Again, the service and amenities are amazing.

If you want to do some shopping, visit the Pearl shop, many options and a memento to keep forever. There is also a small shop with some other goodies you can take home.

If you are considering Bora Bora, Le Meridien will not disappoint. A beautiful location, great food, friendly staff, tranquil environment, and lots to do if you want to!

Room tip: More fish to view at the shallow bungalows, better swimming and views at the deeper ocean bungalows- but a longer walk!

Great resort with super friendly staff. Gwendoline, Viviane and Hoarii were amazing and made our trip unforgettable. Definitely check this place out. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The food was also really good. There are plenty of excursions for you to do. Or you can just chill out on the beach, paddle board, snorkel and kayak.

Bora Bora is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful destinations. Our overall stay has been enjoyable, but there were certain aspects that were disappointing. Le Meridien offers free shuttle/ferry for guests to try the restaurants at St. Regis next door, however, what they seem to fail to mention is how IMPOSSIBLE it is to make a reservation. With 6 days 5 nights at the resort, if we were consulted properly, we would've attempted to try making a reservation daily. We made a complaint to the management team in which the response was simply that there is nothing they can do. The only offer was to do a nice set up of a table for dinner, which in my mind is unnecessary given the beautiful environment we are already in. The truth of the matter is that they should've set the right expectations with their guests to avoid disappointment. Being a preferred member of Marriott Bonvoy, with the price tag at this resort, I certainly would've at least hoped that they can own up to the simple thing that they failed to deliver which is providing their guests with proper information. Certainly not the best way to end a trip.
