My husband and I recently returned home from our honeymoon stay at the Le Meridien Bora Bora, and we had the best time!

Our favorite part of the Le Meridien was the superior service provided by the staff. We especially appreciated the service by Ning and Laetitia who were guest service agents. They, along with the rest of the staff, went well above and beyond to be sure we were comfortable and well cared for during our stay.

Overall, the Le Meridien was very beautiful, clean, and fun. Watching the sun set over the mountain every night and watching the endless amount of stars in the sky above us on the deck of our overwater bungalow was amazing.

Dining Tips: If you eat dinner at the resort (which you probably will), we really recommend eating dinner at Le Te Ava instead of Le Tipanié. Both were fine, but Le Te Ava is much more casual, is outside along the beach, and has better food overall in our opinion. Le Tipanié was good for their breakfast and dinner buffets (2 times a week), but Le Te Ava was best during the other nights of our stay. Try the Prime Rib for 2 and The Apple for dessert! You will not be disappointed!

*Also, check out The Lagoon Restaurant at the St. Regis if you get the opportunity. There's a free boat shuttle to and from Le Meridien. You must see the concierge shortly after you check in to get a reservation, which isn't guaranteed.

*If you are a scuba diver, we also highly recommend Diveasy, which is a full service dive shop located right at the resort. The private day long lagoon tour was one of the highlights of our trip and will always be one of the best days of our lives.

We booked this through Pacific for Less to celebrate my husband's 50th. They were amazing! For a trip like this, you have to use a Travel Agent. So many transfers and things we didn't even realize they put together for you. They made this trip a dream come true. The hotel was amazing and we couldn't have been happier with our over the water bungalow facing Mount Otemanu. The staff was amazing The food was delicious. La Villa Mahana was the best meal we had in Bora Bora. I highly recommend going there.

As many reviewers have noted, the location of this resort can't be beat. Seamless boat transfer. The views of Mt. Otemanu are superb and the beach water is ultra calm. Other reviewers have commented that the overwater bungalows seem very old / worn. We did not find this to be the case and were happy with our accommodations, including excellent housekeeping with nice turndown service we came to really appreciate. The beds were very comfortable and unlike other reviewers, we had absolutely no insects or other critters in our room. It was lovely to take a hot bath at the end of a long beach day while gazing out the window at our gorgeous view. The staff here is very friendly and warm, overall. The beach guys are helpful and sweet although one place for improvement could be the food/bev beach service as it was pretty spotty/inconsistent. We knew ahead of time that we would not find great snorkeling on the premises as other reviewers warned so we made sure to book enough excursions to get our fill. This worked out really well for us as we simply accepted we wouldn't be snorkeling off of our bungalow (we read that theConrad is one of those properties with great snorkeling so if you have your heart set on that this property might be skipped). I can confirm what other reviewers say about the food in Bora Bora, in general: it's mostly mediocre. We did have a few dishes that were better such as a few pasta dishes at Le Te Av. The buffet breakfast at Le Tipanie has lots to choose from and is filling enough to render a true lunch unnecessary for us on most days. We learned that many guests were there on an all inclusive package (all meals included) and I imagine that that would offer tremendous value but we used cash/points so this was not an option for us. We brought floats with rope to secure to our bungalow as other trip advisor reviewers suggested, however, we never once used them! This hotel is family-friendly but most guests are indeed couples. The turtle sanctuary is a lovely feature where injured/diseased turtles receive rehabilitation. You can visit their morning feeding and observe the turtles close up.
