“Not worth the money and the time”

The experience itseld under water was fun but it was definetly not worth the time and the money.

They advertised it as a one hour experience overall, we spent 30 mins underwater and over 4 hours in transportation and waiting 30 minutes for another group of people to complete the experience.

The family who arranges the tour seems to be very disorganized (they made us change three boats, when it was time to drop us off at our hotel shuttle they drop us off five minutes later it left so we had to wait an hour for the following oner)
They didn't even bother to offer any food or refreshemnts like all the other tours did nor organize some sort of entertainment during the long waiting times (other tours, during dead times were playing music, and were offering guests fruit and water)

We took amazing pictures and it is definetly a fun experience (for teh first 15 minutes) but I reccomend it for people w have kids and with a lot of time to kill.

Wherever you go in Bora Bora with some bread, you will be surrounded by tons of fish anyways....it is really not worth it to spend over $100/ person for it.

The helmet dive was a wonderful experience and like the title says, Lots of fun. The attraction was given by 2 brothers whose family runs the company, which is great because you know they care about you having a good time. They gave perfect instructions for using the helmet during the dive and making sure you feel comfortable the whole time you're down there. We had a small group and a beautiful day for our trip. We were able to see perfectly during the entire 30 minutes down on the ocean floor. They have you roped into a good size area to make sure you can't drift off. The fish and corals were truly magnificent, they are all around you and you can't get enough. Some stingrays hung out with us the entire time. I highly recommend this excursion, my wife and I were very happy to have experienced it. We also bought the CD with the pictures they take while you're down there, perfect for our honeymoon book.

The Aqua Safari helmet dive was a great experience. A unique experience of being at the bottom of the ocean while still being able to breathe normally and keep the head completely dry. Our small group were escorted by the owner/operator team of father and son and their small boat crew. After a short boat ride to the dive location, they instructed us on the experience and then it was first person onto the short ladder to get into the water. The weighted helmets with piped in oxygen are lowered onto your head before you submerge. The helmet weight is hardly noticeable underwater. It was a very strange experience to be walking along the sandy ocean floor just as if on dry land. The crew accompany the group and provide bread sticks to attract the volumes of tropical fish in the area. The fish were so close in such large number, I had a hard time creating enough distance to get photos! We had a good variety of fish and coral. the total underwater experience was 30 minutes and you remain in a fairly close area as defined by the length of the oxygen hoses running from the boat above. This is one of those experiences that I am very glad I did and would recommend it to others including people who do not swim. There was no swimming involved and the guides will walk right alongside you to provide any assistance needed. They also take pictures which you can buy on a CD if desired. Some of our group did buy the CD which was provided at a quick stop at the dockside office at the end of the tour.
