“Tupuna Safari - 4x4 jeep tour - Bora Bora”
Reviewed March 24, 2014

Tupuna Safari - Tel 67 75 06. Joshua was tour guide. Native to Bora Bora, very friendly and knowledgable. Day trip began with impromptu stop on road where we got to drink fresh coconut. Seats go sideways but asked to sit in vacant seat up front. Very bumpy roads yet lots of fun! Got to see old Navy bunkers & cannons at top of mountain. Breathtaking views of lagoons of motus (small islets on reefs) in the distance. Rode through only city -- Vaitape. Stopped at small pareau shop up hills, and also "The Farm" -- pearl shop near water's edge. Got to learn how pearls are cultured and grow. Enjoyed this trip very much. MUST wear sunscreen to prevent sunburn. Mauruuru! (Thank you).

“awesome day”
Reviewed March 23, 2014

Wonderful tour guide very informative & knowledgeable. My husband & I are always interested in the people & cultures we visit, answered all our questions and also gave us some helpful tips. He even drove us to the market at the end of our tour and offered to wait for us to shop. Could not believe some of the "roads" we traveled, some of the best views and pictures at the top of mountains. Awesome tour!!!!

“Wonderful Bora Bora tour!”
Reviewed February 13, 2014

My wife and I were on our honeymoon at the Sofitel Private Island and found this in their Activities Book. Boy were we glad we did! Joshua picked us up, right on time, at the Sofitel Marara. After a short trip to pick up a young Swiss couple and an older Austrian couple at two other resorts, we were on our way around the island. Joshua was very nice and pointed out many sights on the main road before the first off-roading section. He made sure to explain them to us in English, then repeat himself in French for the other couple. The off-roading was seriously bumpy and quite steep; hold onto those rails, folks! They aren't kidding when they say you should avoid this if you have back problems. That being said, it was extremely fun! Joshua had a great sense of humor and was a very skilled driver.

The first stop had a beautiful view of the ocean and a few motus. After a few quick pictures we were off to Site #2, a location with two large cannons. Very cool to see these and think about the history of the island. The third stop was a little Pareo shop off the beaten path, where the Pareos are hand painted. There was no pressure to buy, but we found a small one that we really liked and it was very reasonably priced. While we browsed, Joshua cut up some fresh pineapple for a refreshing snack. The next stop was to a Black Pearl shop where they explained how they farm the pearls. After the lesson, we were led into their shop, where my wife and I promptly stepped back outside and waited for the others. The pearls were beautiful, but very expensive. However, the stop was worth it to learn more about pearl cultivation. The final stop was almost straight up the mountain from the pearl shop, right next to a giant antenna. This is a great photo spot, with wonderful views of the ocean, motus, and mountains.

Overall, a very fun tour and highly recommended!

“Fun adventure”
Reviewed January 12, 2014

We decided to take the 4x4 tour to explore the island. It was very fun and
informative, too. We travelled up to two points on the island which offered amazing
views. If you are a history buff, or just want to learn about local life, you have
an opportunity to ask questions. Our guide was very knowledgable and had a great sense
of humor. Faanuii was my favorite stop because of the views and the lush plants and flowers.
If you have a couple of hours for an adventure on Bora Bora it's time well spent.

“Great tour”
Reviewed December 13, 2013

This was our first organised trip on Bora Bora, And turned out to one of the best that we had on the island, Si our driver/tour guide was very informative but hilarious as well. We travelled up some what would appear impossible tracks, but the Land Rover Defender coped with ease!.
This is the best way to see the island for the first time and will leave you with indelible memories.
Tupani 4X4 safari Book it you will not be disappointed.
