No coincidence we booked 2 nights here on this magical island, if you are looking to really relax and get in touch with nature this is the place to be indeed~ immensely enjoyed the simple wonders of this island, thankyou very much to Ellie, Monique and Ari for the family experience*

Unique sounds of being able to hear the wind in the trees at night, the bungalows are very unique, rustic and simply feels great, the feel would be the best experience here on this magical island*

This was our 3rd stop in our tour of Bora Bora, and by far the warmest memories. You feel like part of the family when you're guests of Monique, Elie, and Ari. From going to the market in town with Elie, to daily backgammon games with Monique, or coconut shaving lessons from Ari, every part of the day we were made to feel at home. We had plenty of time on our own as well, to explore the motu, kayak, or snorkel in arguably the best coral gardens in Bora Bora.
Meals were always well planned out with plenty of fresh fruit and bread for breakfast. Dinners were typically later in the evening, but well thought out and we were able to give input on what was on the menu.
Bungalows are adequate, but no a/c. It was fairly hot and humid, so our clothes stayed damp, but we were in Bora Bora, so we didn't care too much.
We had read about the mosquitoes, but we only saw a few during our 5 days. We never even used the bug spray we brought, and subsequently left it there for future guests.
The dogs were a highlight as well for my wife, they were so cuddly and friendly, and love the coconuts.
We would like to get back to Bora Bora soon, and fully intend to stay here again. It was a great way to cost average our stays in the area.
If you are ok with "glamping" in the most beautiful location ever, then you must visit Blue Heaven Island.

We have just spend 5 nights at Blue Heaven Island and loved every minute of it. We are a family of 3 - our son is 9 years old. Eli, Ari and Monique made us most welcome, it is like being part of a family with people coming and going. Our first night was just the 3 of us as guests, so 6 for dinner, finishing with Eli playing the guitar. Lunch on Sunday had 13 people.

You should be clear that this is a small island with few classic luxuries - there's no Egyptian cotton sheets, etc. But the bungalows are nice and rustic - with a shower and flushing toilet and a ceiling fan. They have solar power and rain water harvested. Most of all they have space and sanctuary - something you don't really even get at the big hotels in your 'exclusive' bungalow. For quite a few of the days it felt like there were just the 3 of us + the dogs on this wonderful motu.

We really liked the food - particularly the evening meals - where they put in great effort to produce some lovely food - easily the best we had in Tahiti. Breakfasts are a simple affair, but the coffee is very good and there is an abundance of fresh fruit, bread and jam.

Our son loved the 3 dogs and a cat that live on the island and spent most of his time playing with them.

Snorkelling just off the beach is really good - some of the best we have ever done. It's nice to sit there on the raised deck watching people on day trips paying hundreds of dollars from the major resorts when you can just jump right in from your own motto.

While they mainly get couples here (it's a Bora thing) our son had a fantastic time, not just with the dogs, but with Eli, Ari and Monique too, they were great with him. He did develop a soft spot for Ari, particularly as he taught him to remove the husk from a coconut and make coconut milk (which we had later that night in a curry).

The only down side for us was the mosquitos, and mainly for our son - we didn't protect him very well and his legs were badly bitten. When it is dry they spray the property which really helps, but we had quite a bit of rain, therefore quite a few mossies.

We really hope to go back - there are few places you can go and have no email, phone, TV, etc, sit and watch the stars and hop into the water and experience great snorkelling - and we'll not bother staying at the Intercontinental on Tahiti beforehand this time!

I stayed in this family pension on a motu (little island) in the lagoon of Bora Bora last August with my husband Fabio. Elie and Monique are nice. They cook delicious food and the atmosphere is relaxing. There is a wonderful deck where you can find yourself. You can snorkel just in front of the pension. This is the best solution if you are looking for something special. Do not expect more than nature and peace: that's enough. We really miss this corner of Heaven!

We stayed for 4 marvelous days and nights in this lovely Paradise. Elie and Ari made us feel completly at home and at ease, cooking nice dinners, sharing stories, laughter and music. The coral garden just infront of the beach is breath taking. We didn't miss a thing... except that we would have wanted to stay longer. :-) Thanks a lot and à bientôt
