We liked the food so much we had dinner here twice. It’s not a fancy place but the food was good and reasonably priced (for Bora Bora!!!) My 4 kids shared a plate of chow mein which was a big portion. Poisson Cru was delicious. We also had fish burger, lagoon fish and beef burger.
Run by a local family so we were happy to support them. Language barrier if you don’t speak French (we don’t) but still managed.

I read a lot of good news about this place before we arrived to Bora Bora so we decided to give it a try on one of the late evenings - it was indeed pretty deserted; if you are looking for a fine dining experience it is not the place for you - it's down to earth decor pretty random but we normally love such places as they are the real deal so it did not bother us.

The menu is very short and the prices are insane - cash only! - we paid $15 USD for Fish Burger - which is "normal" price around the island except for the fact that normally it comes with a salad or chips or fries everywhere else... here we ended up paying another $8 for fries - so the fish sandwich + fries + a can of coke ended up costing us $27.50 USD - this was absolutely the highest price on the entire island we paid for the food at the place that accepts cash only it's unacceptable (btw. we gave $30 as we had no change on us...)

Having so many great options around (try Bora Bora Beach Club or Matira Beach Restaurant or Lucky House to name a few amazing ones we fell in love) I can't give Roulotte Matira 4 stars even though that damned sandwich was amazing - I will give them credit for that but even with that I still can't justify the price...

TIP: there is a language barrier and but considering English is neither first nor second local language you can still communicate what you want to eat, you are the guest here not the host so be respectful

We went there the first time because we were hungry and it was pretty much the only option available on our way back to the hotel. We were glad we stopped by and tried. We became customers and came back at least three other times, and the food was always great. I would definitely recommend this place to others. Thanks Sam!

Enjoy yourself and eat at one or more of these food trucks parked along the beach road. It is where the locals eat. Hint Check the Roulotte with the longest line. That usually means this Roulette is popular for a reason. LOL

Great for a quick bite - sandwiches are all good. Nice people/good service. Cute little place just off the main highway, across from the Intercontinental Hotel.
