We had dinner here on our last evening in Bora-Bora... and that was a mistake. We should have eaten here earlier, so we could have come back!

The evening was beautiful, so the tables were set up outside. We were seated at a private table, a few steps above the main courtyard. a pool was above us, and no other tables. We also had a clear view into the kitchen, which is on the outside corner of the building section facing the courtyard.

We did have some issues getting to the restaurant, due to some miscommunication... but once we arrived, we were shown to our table. The staff brought over some champagne... and we ordered some water.

Once we settled in, we placed our order. My wife had the steak, and i ordered one of the meals.

We started off with some salad, with the Ahi Tuna. Salad was great, and the tuna was so fresh, and so good. The steak was next, with some potato gnocchi in a cream sauce. the steak was cooked perfectly, and the gnocchi was amazing. I know there was some other food before this.. and all of it was so good.

after the main course, they brought out some sorbet (to cleanse the pallet)... and we asked for some ice cream as the dessert - which my wife really enjoyed. The islands have some of the best vanilla, and the restaurant had some great home made ice cream.

The atmosphere is amazing, and the service was great.

It is a little pricy, however you get so much food, and the quality is fantastic.

One of the best things was the house cat.. which kept coming by our table. it kept us company during the evening.

We went here for our last meal on the island... and wish we would have had the opportunity to go again.

One of the best meals we have ever had.

We went there and had the exotic menu. Globally it is a miracle to achieve this level of gastronomy in an island like this and we profusely complimented the chefs in the guest book they brought to us. We didn't put 5 stars everywhere in this review because of a few minor glitches in the service (service person was unsure about a few things and forgot 1 of the wines but was adorable) and the food (1 of our beef had nerves in it, harder to cut through and so part was left uneaten and vanilla ice cream didn't taste enough vanilla). Again these were minor glitches compared with world traveled standards. Would absolutely recommend everyone to go there.

If you enjoy French cuisine, this is *the* place for you. There were 2 menus to choose from: Local, Polynesian style or French (also, dishes were available a la carte). We enjoyed the French tasting with wine pairing. Rather pricey, but a splurge for our anniversary. Reservations required (up to a month or so in advance) as there are only about 8 tables in this little restaurant that reminded me of dining in someone's home. Highly recommended.

We recently visited Bora Bora for my sister's 50th birthday. Our travel agent booked the restaurant for the celebration and it exceeded our expectations.....the service was fabulous and the food was to die for!!!!! While some have commented on the cost, I say it was well worth it. We ordered the Exotique and Epicurean tastings along with the wine pairings (this is a must as the wine pairings only enhance an already fabulous meal). I can only give my opinion and the opinion of 4 others. I recommend you judge for yourself. You will not be disappointed.
