We stopped in here for breakfast while in Talkeenta. They have great food & great service!
We took some cookies to go and they were a delicious snack throughout the day!
Visit the roadhouse on your stay in Talkeetna!

I was originally heading to a restaurant in Trapper Creek but it was closed for the summer (rather odd) and so decided to check out the Talkeetna Roadhouse. Glad I made the side-trip because Talkeetna is a scenic village 15 miles off the main highway between Fairbanks and Anchorage. I ordered a sandwich, soup, and soft drink combo for just $10 and it was delicious. After the meal, I took a walk around the small village and drove back to Anchorage; about 110 miles. Would definitely visit again if the opportunity arises.

Fun, family style restaurant and lodge. Favorite stop of mt. climbers, who are likely to be sitting next to you at the long family style table. Share stories, relax, and enjoy real Alaskan hospitality! And the food is great and plentiful, too!

You think summer is nice. Imagine Winter snow falling with hot mulled wine by the fire as the snow cascades down outside.

Tell 'em it's lousy, tell 'em it's plain, keep the secret ours with our friends....the snow and the rain.

The place has lots of visitors on their way to/from climbing Denali. 9 of us at there for dinner and had excellent meals for very good (by Alska standards) prices. Very good service too. Lots of pictures and climbing mementos to check out.
