My wife and I went on a small 4 seater plane with just the pilot on a chilly October morning and it is an experience we will never forget. We had signed up to land on a glacier, but there had been 5 feet of snow overnight and were unable to. That's' just life and it didn't damper our experience at all. There is no better way to see this majestic range than by air. Book it, do a longer flight and have a memory you will never forget. Thanks!

I've done some cool things in my young life..like dive with sharks, ride on the backs of sea- turtles, jumped out of planes, sailed the Caribbean, jumped from planes, jumped from buildings....THIS BY FAR beats anything I've ever done. The price is worth. Our small crew of 3 got lucky and had Paul as our pilot. Super humble, personal guy that acted like he was "just" 1 of 12 pilots employed at Talkeetna Air. Ran into a local from Talkeetna at the Denver airport on my way home and found out that Paul actually owns the entire establishment. Long-story short, that's just how cool they all are up there : )

We were so impressed from start to finish with the quality, care and personal attention received at Talkeetna Air Taxi! General Manager, Annie was a gem and took really good care of us. The staff treated us like family. Thank you Heather, Yvonne, Amy, Amanda and "Gretchen" (haha) Yvonne is my favorite. We were astounded by the views and sheer magnificence of the mountain ranges and glaciers. Our pilot, Clayton, was great! And made sure we experienced all that the flight had to offer. From pointing out rock formations, knowledge of the history of the people and the overall area, to sharing details about the science of the glaciers and their development. The views were breathtaking!! I can't say enough... Thank you, Thank you TAT! You made our day!

This was the highlight of our Alaska trip. Luckily had a sunny day and was able to land on the glacier. It was incredible. Our 3 yr old was so excited. We could spend longer than usual on the glacier as the runway track was covered in ice and had to be cleared before taking off. Don't miss out this amazing experience.

Amazing experience. Weather was not perfect. We were given choices with detailed explanation of weather, adjusted route and charge. We still decided to go and it turned out the trip worth every penny.

This was amazing. The entire staff was right on the money. The pilot made this a very comfortable experience with his sense of humor and keeping us aware of what was going on around us. The kangaroo on the side of the plane should be, a Glacier Hopping Experience.

This for sure was a once in a lifetime bucket-list experience! For starters, working with the office was so extremely easy as they had to move our tour 2 different times, and they eventually upgraded us to the Grand Denali tour with glacier landing for no additional charge! The tour itself - words cannot describe how amazing it was! We must have hit the jackpot because there was not a single cloud in the sky that day, and to be able to circle Denali and the surrounding mountains with unobstructed views is something I will never forget. Landing on the glacier was such a memorable experience that words simply cannot explain it! Our pilot was so great and so very knowledgeable, it was just the cherry on top of an already amazing tour. If anyone is visiting Alaska this is a MUST DO with this company!

We flew at 9am on September 4th. It was lovely seeing Denali from air. We later saw Denali through out the day on our shuttle trip at DNP on Sep 5. So guess we are one of the lucky few,

Guys if you are reading this review what was the first glacier we saw before Ruth glacier and flying thru the grand canyon? was it the Kahitna glacier?

any way awesome value for money. we had a full hour in the air for $200, in Hawaii it's a 15 min heli flight for same amount!

i've uploaded 3 videos on our noncommercial site

It sounds like you were flying over the Tokositna Glacier which is located right before the Ruth Glacier.
So glad you enjoyed your flight!

Nice flight, Richard is a very experienced safe pilot. We also had perfect sunny weather, not a cloud in the sky and very smooth. You could just tell Richard has flown all summer. He was tired of tourists and the same route around the mountain. He had no enthusiasm left for his ten passengers that day. I guess he doesn't care for tips or reviews. It was very informative narration though out the flight but had a very board monotone. The ladies in the office were pleasant and friendly. Someone even helped us with the boots after the flight. The Turbine Otter we flew in had a lot of power but had a nauseating jet fuel and jet exhaust smell the whole flight. It may have some leaks that need attention. Overall, I think it's the best way to see Denali. Getting out and walking on the Glacier was the best part.

We took the Grand Denali tour with glacier landing. The views we saw were stunning the experience itself was speechless. It was very calm the day we flew to Denali and the sky was crystal clear. It may look a bit expensive but with the experience we got, it well worth the money spent. Definitely go for it esp if it is a great day for flying! Comparing the pics that our friends took(who went for their Southside Explorer tour), our trip took us to the snow capped peaks. So I would say spend the extra hundred of dollar and did the Grand Denali tour, worth it! The glacier landing was so cool, we ran jumped and even lied on the glaciet with Denali at our back. It was incredible!
